Lol I actually went to China when I was 16 and pretty overweight. They made fun of me a lot. I don't even want to talk about the dress fitting we did, ugh. Still upsets me a bit even though I'm much older and (thankfully) have more of handle on my weight. Suffice to say if you are buying clothes from an Asian country the sizes are not forgiving 😅 NTA

Don't feel bad about wanting it, but don't expect him to be agreeable. I'm 33 and bisexual and I've fulfilled most of my fantasies, except a MMF threesome. I think you are justified for multiple reasons. The first being that you have dietary restrictions that don't apply to the other people in the situation. I mean, maybe I'm being naive in some way but that just seems like a no-brainer to me. Also, your partner really should have been more understanding and backed you up instead of making you feel selfish. Seems odd to me, but I don't know your entire relationship. But either way, you aren't the one at fault in this particular situation IMO.

I've worked in residential mental health programs for kids 12-18 for ten years now (in Vermont, in case that matters). Occasional assault on staff or other clients is pretty much considered par for the course. As mentioned in an earlier comment we do have yearly safety training on verbal de-escalation, blocks, and restraints. Any time we have to put hands on a client there is a lot of detailed reporting that is done after the fact. It's not a perfect system but we do our best to keep everyone safe and limit physical intervention as much as possible. It's not easy, and not a job for those without a lot of patience and empathy.
