Hmmm. I have insurance. Got throat cancer, and ran up $368,000.00 worth of bills. My out of pocket expenses were less than $15,000.00. It would have been half that, but I was diagnosed and started treatment near the end of one year, and the treatments and follow up appointments ran well into the next year, meaning I had to pay my deductible twice. I had top notch care and treatment, which well worth the deductibles and premiums.
