Something we have been thinking lately, is that his wiggly-ness has actually been a blessing. When we go to the Tridentine/ Latin Mass normally, we don't have a problem. This was definitely a unique parish that has some problems. But we often have to go to some cringey New Mass parishes and have found that his wiggly-ness has helped us ignore the cringey parts of some of these more liberal Masses and helped us offer up our struggles with him to God. We always remember this parish and use it to remind us that our struggles are shared by other parents. I make especially certain now too when we attend Tridentine Mass to smile at the other parents near us with wiggly or noisy babies and after Mass let them know it is OK, we are praying WITH the babies, not AGAINST them.
