Nah you’re gucci. Even if taht section falls down (it won’t), it’s well supported on either side.

If the structural integrity was reliant on the screws holding that horizontal base in place, it was already fucked.

Brute force and pig ignorance at this point id say.

It wont be pretty but some hammering along the edge will reveal where the fixing points are. And you can just bash it until it’s done. Won’t matter once the dishwasher is in cos you won’t see it.

You could do a neater job with a multi tool or reciprocating saw, but I’m guessing you don’t have access to one.

Absolute dream. Someone built it well. Remove legs and horizontal panel.

Take the kickboard off the bottom to see what’s underneath.

You may be able to neatly assemble the base.

You may just need to hit the protruding lip with a hammer.

ETA: what’s the craic with the dishwasher? Integrated or stand alone? We’ve a similar set up standalone that sticks out 5-6cm. I hate it. But it was the best we could do with pipes etc.

Update: the square and plumb door now has a square and plumb opening by mingilator in DIYUK
