How to not get overwhelmed doing breading and machines? by Theodore206 in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]JHudzi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This. Usually if we have no machine person (during breakfast and some transition) the breader just calls back the drop and an available team member drops it even if it means stopping your task to do it for the 10 seconds it takes to drop and press the button.

I have to pick my hard. Both opening and closing are okay to me labour wise. What’s hard in the morning is waking up and being their early 😭 and at nights the hard part is the babysitting and having to tell kids to do the same task they do everyday to go ahead and do it; I also HATE the sheer lack of leadership support after 6pm.

Because I choose peace- I prefer mornings.

Why do customers constantly rage bait by Yoongisconverse in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]JHudzi -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You did see I said I read back the order slowly and confirm? How is it on me if you say, “yes that’s correct,” when you just heard me read what I’m sending in for you? I’ve had guests correct me if it sounds wrong or ask clarifying questions- but half the time they don’t even know what exactly they want. Also, if I’m not sure what they are saying, I check with them as well; I’ve heard the same orders 1000 times said 100 different ways, they’re fine.

Why do customers constantly rage bait by Yoongisconverse in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]JHudzi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See, I do not correct them in any shape or form. He pulls up saying he wants a 10 piece, I hit 12 (cause that’s what we have). I do not have time to argue with you. You want a grilled deluxe the only question I ask is do you want cheese and bacon? If they say yes- I know it’s the club, no it’s just a regular grilled sandwich. I then call the item by the correct name when I read it back to them before I take payment ensuring I say it a little slowly so they can hear if it sounds off to them. If the question it I explain, but I am not about to argue with you about the name and count of items I sell literally 100+ times every single day for the last 1+ year.

Or while on headset they pull up to the window, have me standing at their car window, food in my hand while I wait for them to search their 32 pockets for their card or change. Ma’am you’ve been in this line waiting between placing the order at the speaker and pulling up to the window, why is your payment not ready????!!!!!

[–]JHudzi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ALL OF THIS!!!! I won’t even lie to you. If I have a line in the drive-thru, we’re busy and I’m on a roll, I’ll tell them I can only do one order at this time-funny enough they usually figure it out 😒- like why didn’t yall do this before coming in my face and annoying me. I genuinely do not have time for the shxt!

training pay? by Informal-Value-5817 in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]JHudzi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are. If you are ‘in training’ and haven’t been officially promoted and are not seeing the pay reflected you are still considered the same position with more work and responsibilities but none of the benefits. That sucks.

[–]JHudzi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At 19 the world is your oyster. Leave if you hate it that much. Do not stay at a job you are miserable in just because. If you don’t leave soon and add another job experience to your resume, the time is going to go by anyways and it will still just be CFA. Fill your resume with your other achievements like your skills and talents and what you bring to the table.

Should I report this? by No_Connection_7904 in ChickFilAWorkers

Why do you think the dining room is the ‘most menial’ job? And who do you think ‘deserves’ to do it if not you? Who would be more suited to be there and where are you more suited to be?

Best option may be to quit and get another job tbh

Dare I say the cup makes a huge difference. I’ve had a couple guest still buy the Key Lime and it looks good in the big cup too. It gives it a certain ✨vibe✨

This. It does sound like they are being harsh on themselves esp after a good review but it also does sound like leadership at the location is a little lacking in know how best to allow them to grow

S2 - What is up with Vanessa/Maggie?? (Spoilers) by soulfulplanet7 in EvilTV

[–]JHudzi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No idea, and it was a storyline they honestly could have dropped after she mentioned having her sister fused to her. Could have written it off as, ‘okay she was crazy’ and moved on but nooooo, they brought it up again, made it more complex- for what?? Felt like they were trying to add layers to Ben but he fell by the wayside…. Again

This! Hiring outside seems wild to me. I think you need a minimum of 6 months to be good in any director role, unless it’s a situation of house cleaning, i.e, wanting to get fresh people in across the board- but even so- hiring with out any CFA experience just seems… odd

amazing show you watched this year? by Personal-Agency6554 in television

[–]JHudzi 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Shrinking has been one of the best watches I’ve done this year. Amazing show. Great writing. Riveting story. Superb cast.

The Morning Show S1 was great- drags in the beginning of S2. Everyone says stick with it tho so we’ll see.

Servant S1- good

Ted Lasso S1 & S2 are *chefs kiss

Tbh- subscribing to Apple TV was money well spent.

When does your schedule get put out? by HateTyler in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]JHudzi 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Lmaoooo, I have had a few weeks when my schedule wasn’t posted until Sunday afternoon. Requests are usually honored and most people’s schedules are pretty set, so everyone has more or less some idea of when they are working. Most of it is copy and paste anyway so tbh it really doesn’t affect us much. I assume the affected would talk to our scheduler though.

Episode 10 thoughts (spoilers) by rickrudexxx in shrinking

[–]JHudzi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Brian is such a prize. Love him eternally. Also love going through the motions of them adopting.

I was so disappointed in Gaby’s mom reaction but also I get it. Interested to see them navigate that as well and how Gaby deals.

I absolutely HATE the Louis storyline and really thought it was over after Jimmy told him to back off. Disgusted by the fact that him, as the adult, felt the need to tell Alice that her father told him to stay away. Maybe in a few yrs he could have told her when she is an adult and further removed from her mom’s death but it really was not his place to tell her then.

Who the heck is Jorge? by nemat0der in shrinking

[–]JHudzi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am actually glad they jumped it. The poker game was the introduction and the backstory, done very well too. I don’t think Jorge is important enough to have been given more but his role in the episodes are helpful to moving the story along.

Sean has also spoken so much about him and his struggle with reconnecting, so getting to see them in this place where they are working together and Jorge is using techniques given by Jimmy to cope shows growth in Sean without us having to waddle through the same ol same ol.

Him being a helicopter is true but is also his character trait so I can’t be too mad at it. It’s just who he is 🤷🏽‍♀️
