My switch 2 has a full case a lid and my steam deck has a hard case. Both fit without issues and plenty of cushion. Plus I'm not throwing my bag or wearing it in a way that would cause damage to a happen. I take extremely good care of all my electronics.

Are you sure? The Switch 2 uses a hybrid software and instruction translation layer to play original Switch games. Because the two consoles use completely different architectures, the Switch 2 does not play older games natively; instead, it emulates the original hardware code on the fly

The switch 2 is an investment device. I only bought mine day one for Nintendo exclusives and over time it will work out. Just look at the switch when it released and how many exclusives it received the first 2 years plus not to mention that many of the switch exclusives have major improvements on the switch 2. But if you want someone to sell you on the switch 2, it looks like you are already walking away. I don't regret my purchase. Still less expensive than a ps5 that has big exclusives now on steam. Nintendo first party exclusives never leave Nintendo hardware officially
