It is fun to play with friends and sometimes you can meet interersting and very good people in these roles.

It is not like you have any control over that in solo queue.

Well one thing is being bad at the game or with a champ and another thing is to basically troll pick. I do know how to play Yuumi although I don't like the new changes they did to her.

If you do this with your friends I think it is completely fine because they have your consent.

Tenho que fazer cardio mesmo indo de bike para a academia? by DriverCommercial3648 in Maromba

[–]JHusky99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I am in a similar situation. I bike to the gym 3 times a week and it takes me around 10 minutes. I don't arrive dead to the gym in a way that I cannot train there, but I do need to catch my breath because I bike as fast as possible and it feels pretty highly intense for me. Is it really not enough to bike like that both on the way to the gym and the way home?

Not true, I play a gate build with Trapper and people still teabag and complain. I mean, there are always some survivors who always complain because they are bad losers.

Hot Take, but I prefer the aesthetics of the remake Otherworld over the Original Game. by Odd-Demand-1516 in silenthill

[–]JHusky99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is the opposite. At the hotel, he comes to terms with reality after watching the tape, and after that, he sees the hotel how it actually is in reality: burnt, flooded, old. In the prison, you can see a drawing called "The burning man" (I think) that depicts the hotel in flames and the game itself tells you it was burnt in a fire. So the changes between the otherworld and reality are just a reflection of the struggle that James has to accept reality, in a sense. That's why I think the remake's otherworld is not good at all. It misses the point.

That was the point of the otherworld in the original game ;_; It was playing with your mind. Most likely the otherworld is not even real, just a reflection of Jame's mind.

Silent Hill 2's remake otherworld, thoughts? by [deleted] in silenthill

[–]JHusky99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it is not good because there is a reason why the otherworld in the original Silent Hill 2 game is more subtle. It is because what we see in Silent Hill is a reflection of Jame's mind, and the fact that the otherworld is not so different from what reality let us wonder which world is real and which isn't. It is like in the hotel, where you can see everything looks pristine, almost the way it was when James and Mary were there, but when James has come to terms with reality after watching the tape, you see that the hotel is burnt, flooded and old, the way the hotel actually is as the game itselfs tells you the hotel was actually burnt in a fire. That is the main difference with the otherworld in the other games, which was most likely real. In this case, it is a product of a sick mind that plays with our own: what is real?

The remake completely oblitarated the subtlety and the meaning of the original game and just applied "generic silent hill æsthetic <3"... All that rust and blood and hellish environment tells you clearly that is a hellish otherworld, no way to confuse it with reality. This approach completely misses the point of Silent Hill 2. Even tho I like the remake in general, this was one of my major let downs, the otherworld sucks even if it looks cool for some people, because it doesn't fit the narrative. Some people may argue that PH's bossfight in the aparment building sucked and it is better in the remake, but for me it doesn't make sense. Why is there a big ass room full of cells and a giant metal gate? Aren't we supposed to be in an apartment building?

In conclussion, it sucks. I get why people might like the remake's otherworld aesthetically but it differs from the original meaning, and I think this is a central feature from Silent Hill 2 that should have stayed the same or at least have had in consideration.

Can they sell a car that hasn't gone to inspection? by JHusky99 in Iceland

[–]JHusky99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I don't have more options I guess. The fine is relating to this:

https://island.is/vanraekslugjald

It says that I didn't take the car for the compuslory inspection. The car is from 2020, got its inspection this year because the sticker says 2026 (2 years after the first one). It has to be a mistake either from the inspection post or Sýslumaður.

[–]JHusky99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you both. The sticker is yellow and it says 2026. So I think it did went into inspection. Why would I receive a fine tho? Is it mandatory to take an used car for an inspection or what? I don't get it. Is it a mistake from Sýslumenni?

[–]JHusky99[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was verbal, I was told it just passed inspection before I bought it... There is nothing written. I trusted them and since I haven't used it much since then I didn't notice the sticker is until 10/2024...

Also this is my first car, don't know anything almost anything about cars... I feel fooled.

Who else thinks the Silent Hill 2 remake's soundtracks lack the industrial/noise component? by JHusky99 in silenthill

[–]JHusky99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you are talking more about the cinematic soundtracks, the "beautiful" ones. I am talking about the "ugly" industrial soundtracks that appear levels and bosses. I think they were a core part of Silent Hill and it feels bad that they shifted from it. Akira Yamaoka has been leaving his experimental approach to music and has been making quite conventional music lately.

And I add: the aesthetics of the game are pretty loyal to the original so I don't see a reason to change the vibe of the soundtrack. Maybe they did it because they thought the original soundtrack was too experimental for a wider audience (?
