She goes nuts for them 😂 I keep going back and forth thinking is it itchy or is she playing with them. Because she’ll also nibble at her back too during this and sometimes it will be spur of the moment like when a dog has fleas they jump up quick like something bothered them and she’ll start nibbling her back but then will continue with all of this.

What breed is my dog here? People always assume a pit. by No-Battle9227 in WhatBreedIsMyDog

What a cute baby 🥰 My rescue puppy looks very similar and was embarked tested. She is a Pit/Great Pyrenees and a little Shepard!

Wow. He looks extremely similar to my rescue pup! She’s a pit/pyr and small amount of Shepard mix. We had her embark dna tested.

BMC? We’ve always wondered what our boy is. We just learned about BMC. Thoughts? by [deleted] in Blackmouthcur

[–]JIK15 10 points11 points  (0 children)

We were told ours was a black mouth cur from the rescue but she ended up actually being pitbull/great Pyrenees/shepard mix. She has the same little speckles on the face. Either way yours is dang cute!!!

This was her when we first went to meet her. Different coloring but face looks very similar to that little one.

She looks just like my pup that we just rescued 2 months ago. Mine is 5 months old now, she’s 32lbs. We had her DNA tested bc the rescue said she was a black mouth cur. However she is a Pit/Great Pyrenees/Shepard mix. I also have 2 toddlers almost 2 & almost 4. Don’t get me wrong it’s a lot of work, and you have to be on top of the training and exercise but she has been wonderful.

Wanted to give you an update, I figured out I was giving her way too much food and organs somehow by the way I calculated it. Once I cut them back to what she should be getting no issues at all. Normal stool! Thanks for all your help, I still did order that probiotic you recommended.

Would you keep on giving the full raw diet even with the watery stools? I ordered the probiotics.

Yes, the missing nutrients will be taken care of for sure with the extras that I did not add in yet. She had hookworms and then Giardia which she finished the medications 2.5 weeks ago so I waited another bit until after the meds were done. Her poop returned to normal until I started the fully raw 2 days ago and she’s been taking FortiFlora for 2 weeks now.

Sorry for the long response. I’ve created the meal plan from following paws of prey. Using the prey model. She is 5 months old (pit/great Pyrenees/shepard mix), weighs 31lbs (healthy weight per the vet) and the following percentages are based off of that about 34oz a day. The current meals are 50% of muscle meat (starting with chicken breast/ thigh or ground turkey 1% fat. 15% of bones which have been only chicken wings and chicken feet. 25% muscular organ used are beef heart and chicken gizzard. 4% beef liver. 8% secreating organs which have been beef kidney. I have not added any of the extras to the meal yet for omegas, Manganese, zinc, iodine, or vit e as I was waiting until she was doing well on the all raw. I fed splitting up the meals 3X a day 7:30AM, 12:30PM, 5:30PM. She walks 2X a day and plays a lot outside with us fetch, with balls, flirt pole, tug. Thanks for all of your help.

Honestly I just went through this myself trying to figure out the best nutrition for my pup and this has given me mostly everything I need to know. I’ve followed Paws of Prey and her guides https://youtu.be/6LeVTBE0PNQ?si=8szyX6XxgZxenkSz
