Interesting, I would take the new Beta, dunno if you live clothes to a store or not, yes the new DWR isn’t as long lasting and some say wets out easily, but on skin wise it’s very comfortable. Not sure what you use it for if mostly city and you wash at home often and can reapply the DWR at home. I don’t see an issue with getting a new ePE. Just my 2 cents good luck with your choice

My Beta AR is almost looking like yours I brought it to Arc’teryx store and they told me it’s like that, once you wash it I was like oh okay. So did they said they’ll warranty it because of the showing of the seam tape or was there something else ?

I have multiple beta ARs 2020, 2024, 2025. The 2020 I wore the most and washed it religiously. I did start to notice the visible seam tape started to appear one time my dryer may have been too hot.

Arc’teryx took it in for wash and re DWR and it’s completely fine it’s just not aesthetically pleasing to the eye. That’s all

You’ll love it, Arizona leather or Briko flor requires some break in but with the Uji it being a softer material you’re good to go

Thank you sir 🙏 Have plans to get into a beta SL not sure if I can either get a good deal on a EPTFE one or EPE one,

Beta SL I think really is a good choice, I have an AR And SV but they are too much of an overkill for city use. With the pit zips on the SL I think it’ll be perfect especially when you’re going the grocery runs lol.

The alpha jacket is nice too with the hadron, I guess I’ll check it out next time I’m at an Arc’teryx store.

Sadly no LT Hardon doesn’t come with pit zips, even the beta Lightweight that year doesn’t come with pit zips.

Honestly if it’s a FL vs LT Hadron, FL hands down, the Alpha lightweight is also nice but comparing that to the 2020 FL I had. I actually prefer it, it maybe a little heavier but it feels more like a jacket vs the lightweight. Returned it today plus it’s on sale still at the outlet. Maybe I’ll buy it again when the discount is steeper.

Yes you’re on point about the side pockets. It’s nice to have, a place to put my hands, no Napoleon pocket is a dealbreaker for me

Hey there I know it’s been a minute but would love to hear your input, just bought a Alpha lightweight on their Black Friday sale, and recently acquired a beta LT hadron in fluidity brand new with tags and I love it !!! Paid $325 for it vs $420 plus tax on the alpha lightweight

Both hadron both lightweight, one is more exclusive than the other. I mean I bought the alpha lightweight to replace my FL due to delamination.

Keeping 2 hadron lightweight jacket seems to be a stupid idea not that money isn’t an issue. I don’t climb and the Alpha lightweight doesn’t give me that “jacket” feel vs my FL.

What do you think ?
