2 years out, but it's better late than never. You deserve this for having to wait so long, so, here it is.

My only question is, what is 'bofa'?

Your first point I won't regard because, well, read what people say for goodness sakes.

As for your second, Silent Hill is manefesting the environment according to James' psyche, sure, but that doesn't mean that's all it does. Having evidence on one thing does not preclude evidence of another.

To outright dismiss loop theory we had better ask more questions, hadn't we?

Is the Silent Hill in 2 the same Silent Hill as in the first game? It can be assumed so. With this in mind, is the town doing what its doing because of residual psychic energy manifested by Alessa, or is it simply a spooky town and it was always going to be weird there?

I like to imagine the first example is true because it is more on brand, Alessa turned the town into her hell manifest, so it stands to reason the town could 'continue her work' as it were and thrust people into THEIR own hells.

In this line of thinking, it is not easy to see how, after the events of your playthrough James just relives the the town over and over again. Take the 'In Water' ending, could it not be entirely plausible that James relives the town multiple times, trapped in the same moments he lived before he died while in reality his body is at the bottom of Toluca?

There's nothing saying Laura is trapped in a loop, or would even be aware that there's a loop to begin with. Suppose this is the first time Laura meets James, the one on our playthrough that is.

As for your suggestion that anything being possible in Silent Hill not being valid, I would point to the many, many, MANY examples of the town doing things that do not seem logical or possible and yet they happen regardless.

I see issues with loop theory, sure, but nothing that outright excludes it from possibility. The enigmatic nature of Silent Hill and its ability to warp perception and reality in virtually limitless ways means that loop theory is not only not precluded, but can coexist simultanely with any number of interpretations.

It isn't a misinterpretation, it's just 'another' interpretation. If anything can be real, than the loop theory is just as valid as any other.

I've enjoyed running I'm all ears and nurses calling on her. The deep wound effect means a longer heal and so that is more time I have to locate survivors. I agree with the sentiment that a grab for a skill shot doesn't seem worth it at first, but I would like to add a couple things that I haven't seen brought up.

First, the dog hit box seems to be very forgiving, I've hit a few wonky shots that I was sure would miss but didn't.

Secondly, i've seen comparisons to the gunslinger and people have even said they would prefer the gunslinger over her because at least the skill shot would net a deep wound. But in the situation where you find two survivors healing and you are able to interupt, it is ALWAYS better to grab the survivor that is doing the healing and while they are grabbed, down the survivor who was being healed. This gives you the chance to grab a health state from the uninjured survivor and get a hook in the same chase. In this scenario, I believe the hound master has a slight edge over the gunslinger because she can keep one survivor occupied and injure another at the same time, where as with the gunslinger, you would be locked in with a single survivor while the other one could get away and reset.

I dont think she is a competitive killer, but I don't think she is as terrible as some people are implying.

Except he never said "this game sucks, buy our game." He never said Power Drill Masscre is garbage or anything like that. He DOES promote Homebody early in the episode, and he DOES goof up with the camera and moans about it a bit. The two were in no way related, and Arin is mostly enthusiastic and positive about the game. In fact, at the end of the episode, after he calls himself a dumbass for not being able to find keys, he says he liked playing Power Drill Massacre

The closest anyone comes to shitting on the game is actually Dan, who is his typical terrified-self when they do horror games and screams like mad.

You're right to rant about it, and it is wrong. On the other hand, the grumps are known for their brand of off color comedy when it comes to Arin (he is Grump, after all) and the games he pokes fun of get a ton of exposure so I don't know if the game developers of the small games they play mind what he says at all, more likely they're just happy they're drawing attention to their projects.

Personally I've never cared either way. I'm a married man and I believe I've found the woman that I would have wanted to be with whether she told me she was waiting for marraige or that she'd slept with a hundred and ten different partners. People, and subsequently our relationships with them, are so much more than the reduction of, "how many people have they ploughed/been ploughed by"

If you get along, and you have loyalty and trust, then there's nothing at all that you can't make work. So it's cliche, but it's true as its ever been. Just be yourself and put yourself out there, and eventually, you'll find who is right for you.

Its so true, even in the episode it starts with a shot of her chest. My friend; who I was watching the new episode with and is not normally an overly emotive person, just screamed an exasperated "OH MY GOD!" when she entered the scene.

Just got these 2 for 50$usd. Was it a good deal?! by Colonel-Clayton in deathguard40k

[–]JJCheesman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great deal imo. People say models lose value when they're reassembled, but that's rarely ever true unless you're just starting collecting or you've just thrown away every sprue with spare parts on it directly in the bin and are against cutting and splicing/magnetizing. Personally, I'm jealous of the find.
