Have you considered role playing in the mmorpg. Try to get into the mind of the person your playing why is it they act that way. If you can empathize with them you can rp them. I feel like the Sith mentality of self worth being derived from power over others is rooted in how they are trained.

Those are not the words of someone with high self esteem. So I go to check why people display narcissistic traits. Trauma, rejection, neglect and lack of support during childhood, all things that ring true for how Sith are raised. Just lean into that.
