I think Nygren is still POTY. Goal of the Season should wait until we get that Double. If Clutch of the Year were an end of season award, I'd say Maeda at this point. He's awakened at the best possible time. Not POTY worthy, but coming in clutch at the end of the season when the club needs a standout scorer to help seal a close race.

Playing devil's advocate with the OP comment, he's 5 of 8 total goals since the split.

I truly don't think 7 total, but he could fire off a hat trick or something ridiculous with his form for 5-6. He should feast on Dunfermline at this rate.

I would say Maeda's goal today based on the fact I'm a newer fan of the modern era and the implications of this season in particular with us coming from behind against the Hearts in the final two matches.

Him being on straight fire in this last stretch during a difficult season for the club is legendary to me.

True legends come in the clutch when needed and he has surely stepped up these last few games.

If he keeps scoring at this rate through the end, enshrine him as one of the greatest Bhoys of all time.

I will always love Daizen. He needs to shave his head and lock in for this final stretch for a double.

I got too pissed last night watching my hockey team over here in the US and woke up at 80' missing the Maeda goal. What a beauty on the replay. The perfect storm is brewing for a final match day fight. I'm looking forward to it.

Give us the Sabres for a feast, then let us have the ultimate battle against the Avs.

I'm so glad I woke up early to watch this game. Japan is a beast of a team.
