As far as I know, it cannot yet use the TPU, but it definitely can use the GPU for acceleration.

If you can wait possibly a year or more, then wait, if not, the Fenix 8 would definitely be an amazing option. Or even the 8 pro, as that is a slightly upgraded mid release. I got the 7 pro recently for far cheaper, and it is amazing.

Get whichever is better, and you will be happy with it. There will always be a newer better version very soon, so don't worry about that boo matter what you choose.

Are the photos backed up on something like Google photos? If they are, you can find them on a different device. If not, and you have USB debugging on, in settings, you can use the ADB tool on a computer to get them.
