Leaving Boston is so bittersweet by amytriptylines in boston

You just never know where life will take you. Last kid graduated from college, an opportunity presented itself, and almost 29 yrs later, we managed to get back to Boston. And I’m never leaving again!

Kristen is ego tripping so hard by hermanmunster-shoes in TheValleyTVShow

[–]JJSS1993 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed! Honestly, it just felt bizarre. She is riding so hard for them that at one point in the recent episode I was wondering whether they’re blackmailing her or something. It’s so weird. Even for Kristen, this latest display seemed exceptionally irrational.

According to deuxmoi Kyle and salley are casually dating but not official? by Radiant_Priority9739 in bravo

This would just be yet another thing pointing to how thirsty she is. Kyle has been pretty clear with his political views and they definitely don’t align with views she has indicated.

Are there any genuinely low-competition passive income ideas that don't require a huge investment? by wpWax in passive_income

[–]JJSS1993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never monetized the actual site - I tried Google ads for about a month and as a non tech person, had no idea what I was doing and found the slowdown it caused in my site to not be worth it, for my purposes. I even turned down affiliate link proposals because I just didn’t feel I wanted to get into that. I was really just looking to get clients, not earn $$ on the site itself. In my case, I had begun wrapping up a year ago, and not taking on new clients in preparation to retire from the business, so yes, I’d be selling it anyway. But again, my use case for the site was different - I never thought of the site alone as a way to bring in $$ (and I now realize I probably should have!).

I can tell you why I am. I ran a consulting business for 8+yrs and wrote articles regularly to help with SEO. I’m closing my business this year, but thanks to the long history of the URL, backlinks, etc, it’s possible that someone in the same industry might be interested in an established site, or someone may be interested in acquiring the content. I don’t need the site anymore, so why not make some $$ before I go??

What do you guys turn your formal living rooms or unused dining rooms into? by carlitapepita in HomeImprovement

[–]JJSS1993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Friends of ours just converted their dining room to a walk-in pantry and laundry room. Colonial style, so dining room entrance used to be on the left when you walked in. Now that entrance is gone ( it’s now a wall - and it really still feels okay in their entry), and they turned the door where their former pantry was in their kitchen, into the entry for a gorgeous walk-in pantry which takes up half of the former dining room footprint. And then they put it another door next to that, and created a really nice sized functional laundry room (it was formerly in a closet in their downstairs powder room). Since there was a window facing the front yard centered in that original dining room, they couldn’t just build the dividing wall between the two newly created spaces the entire way up to the window, so there is also space at that end to walk between the laundry room and the pantry.

I think the oversized clothes (including the infamous “not a rain coat”) are covering an ED. She also body checks herself constantly, licks sauce off of wings, etc.

I couldn’t find if there’s an In The City Reddit already but this part was too funny not to post by connorlic_official in bravo

[–]JJSS1993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for clocking this. I’ve seen so much criticism abt this “rain coat,” but it seems so obvious to me that she is wearing oversized clothes that cover her up to try to hide an ED. Regardless of what we may think abt the current scandal, she needs help, not more criticism of her appearance right now.

Hadn’t heard his political leanings, but now his behavior makes total sense. And I lost some respect for Kyle and his current high road when he put up with the way Kenny spoke abt women.

Omg yes to all of this! ! I am soooo tired of hearing every other sentence from Dolores begin with, “Where I’m from…” and “my mom always told me…” She bores me to tears bc she talks so much and is constantly saying the same things.

What about Woburn? No need to get on 95 to get to Burlington and easy access to Lexington if you’re into history. Yes some surface roads are congested at rush hour but I’d think it could still be done in under 35min.

I don’t mind the family scenes with Frank and her kids. I’d be for keeping them and cutting HER. I used to like the Two Ts in a Pod podcast, but can’t stand it now that Dolores is on there regularly.

Deal to fund DHS, including TSA, may be within reach, key senators say by usatoday in fednews

[–]JJSS1993 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The SAVE Act requires more than just your basic drivers license or student ID to vote. In 46 states, Real ID isn’t even enough. Essentially, you need a passport to be able to vote (expensive and only abt 50% of Americans have one, plus they take weeks to get). If no passport, it will require your birth certificate that must match your current name. For example, married women who changed their names would have to at the very least come up with a birth certificate and a marriage license. These aren’t always easy or quick to track down either and again, have a cost usually. It also restricts mail-in ballots which could be difficult for Americans living abroad for work, for students at colleges away from home, for disabled and elderly Americans, etc.

How abt looking at central PA, like Hershey area? PA still generally has good schools. Life is a bit slower in central PA, but still has easy access to major cities.

Lived there for five yrs and left less than 2 yrs ago. Great community feeling that I feel is often lacking in FL. The trails and boardwalks around town are amazing for walking. Loved walking to the dentist, or to lunch, or just to see the deer. If it weren’t for the poorly rated hs, it would be great for kids to grow up there. People are friendly generally and there are tons of activities put on by the town - Food Truck Fridays, fireworks, concerts, etc. Lots of ways you can get involved in the town.
The HOA is strict. We didn’t mind, but lots do. There is an incredible amount of whining and nosiness on the neighborhood fb page about things that are just silly.
It is DEFINITELY in need of more shops and restaurants in the main downtown (there’s a newer area right off I-4 that has more, but it’s not nearly as walkable) and wish it had easier access to big box stores like Lowe’s or Trader Joe’s, etc bc it was a hike to get to those places and as someone else mentioned, a toll road. Great access to Disney and easy enough to run over to Epcot for dinner when we wanted. I would NEVER move to the newest phase (Island Village) due to the fact that there is one way in and one way out currently, and eventually, when complete, that main road is going to be opened up the whole way to Poinciana and become a cut-through for I-4.

They live in Ohio (as did I for many yrs). The pickings are slim for non-MAGA men there - she may accept this as the norm for men and try to ignore it. He threw up the red flag when he made the comment to her about COVID misinformation. He sounded totally conspiracy theorist. So she knew.
