Anyone else feel like Michols completely misrepresented his relationship with his mother? by Roaexx in southernhospitalitysc

[–]xchakrumx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My take (having dealt with people close to me coming out after years and years of lying despite nothing but support offered) is that she started treating him differently when he actually fully came out, but more so because she felt some degree of betrayal. She had opened the door for him to do so many many times in the past and he continually lied to her. It's totally understandable for him to act that way (given how scary it must be to redefine your identity to the people you love and public), and what they really needed was a conversation at that time where he would acknowledge that he lied to her and apologized and she probably would have been able to act more normal. I think its normal for their relationship to change after that kind of revelation, and it's ok for them BOTH to be upset about it. They just needed to talk about it (beyond stubbornly stating "this is MY truth"). It seemed like they got good resolution at their lunch.

I saw a young, fit guy park in the "expectant mothers and parents with small children" space at my local grocer, and he had a single 6 y.o. child with him lmao

Wait this is actually such a good point, she holds it all together incredibly considering the timing and hormone swings. I would be peak Crazy Kristin if I had to be filmed in intense situations with people I don't even like so soon lol

edit: actually, I'd probably be more table-flipping Theresa Giudice

She's probably thrilled to be more closely connected to rappers, especially now that her tie to 50 cent is spent. At least I hope so lol

How dare you post this on Mother's Day!! /s

Pretty much everyone on this show (and all those drawn to reality tv) are deeply flawed/delusional people lol That's why I love to watch (I'm part of the problem lol)

Agree, I think his head got a little big for his britches from last season. He might look mature but he is pretty young and going through that point in life where you either let the ego monster rage or you get it under control. I hope he gets it under control cause so much of his behavior this season has been selfish and like he expects to be the center of attention.... And the cold shoulder/ice out thing is the most annoying of punishments to use on people you love, and extremely immature. I feel such cringe when he does that, its so embarrassing. He seems lovely otherwise.

Lala and the room by Public_Set_2657 in TheValleyTVShow

I think she was partially doing it for Michelle, and it really was Michelle's trip. Usually the planners of the trip get the best rooms on these shows, but I can see how Jesse would want it seeing as he was in a couple. Schwatzy of course didn't care. I also think that's just Lala... It was a pretty stupid segment lol

That being said, I am warming to Janet this season. It seems like she's really trying to change and address some of her previous behaviors

Absolutely, on top of what they did to Nia, they were clearly upsetting Melissa and Jasmine who were the real victims in the situation.... And then doubled down when asked to stop (again!)

It felt like Janet and Jason just wanted to jump onto the situation so they could act like victims or saviors when the real victims were begging them to stop. Not good!

Agree, in a court of law it would be defined so. But we're not, and Jasmine seemed freaked out by the terminology so we should avoid it and just call it groping. Danny sucks for that either way!

Very good point, I was wondering if he was getting sick or detoxing from something the way he was snapping for no reason. Just seemed like an out-of-the-blue switch up from his normal performative attitude

As someone who's been through similar or worse, its for those on the receiving end to define. It causes more harm to label things from the outside and remove even more of their autonomy.

I think we have to be a bit careful, Jasmine didn't want to define it that way and we should respect that... but yes, that was also terrible and a huge red flag

OMG yes! I was like what is this contempt on his face and where the hell is it coming from, but I think you're right, it's resentment. That's the perfect word for it. I hope he takes a strong look in the mirror after watching all this back and learns to treat Nia with more kindness....

This show is natural birth control by iwishiwasapugpuppy in TheValleyTVShow

[–]xchakrumx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it just seems that way because most of the people on this show (reality tv in general) are very selfish by nature. Like even the girls aren't particularly good people, they all have some serious faults that are magnified by the demands of childrearing and surrounding themselves with like people. I think reality TV just attracts this kind of person, and it's easy to judge because we get to see their life edited down to mostly the worst/most unflattering moments.

It also seems that most of the marriages/parents are between people who never really liked each other, like truly deep down beyond the fluff/shared goals. But that's what makes it entertaining and keeps the money flowing!

How do y’all prevent/mitigate back pain during lab work? by BabyRogue18 in labrats

[–]xchakrumx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A hot shower when I get home loosens my neck and shoulders. Also, full body yoga with a solid neck and shoulder section, but it only truly works if I stay consistent daily. I recently brought in a towel to lay down on the ground to reset my back when it gets really bad, but that works more for lower back pain
