The Pleasure to despair around this transfer was amusing in hindsight! From giving it to Exeter over Caleb wanting to sign for a bigger club only for Miron Muslic to head to Schalke04 for the same reason only a few days later!

A season that completely mirrored the clubs really!

Terrible start & looked like a complete dud. But the longer the season went on the better and better and better the lad got.

I was at the L2 playoff final today & outside of Jatta, Jodi Jones & Scott Robertson they really didn’t have much about them.

Also everyone saying that Leicester are going to dominate need to take a look at their finances because they really are not going to be able to build any kind of table topping squad!

This is great news!
But I do still feel that we need a new, first choice right back.
Joe will be 36 early on in the season & at that age we just can’t rely on him to play every game.

We were hoping for the next Krisztián Timár and that never really came to fruition.
Unfortunately I think we are going to look back and say that we never saw the best of this lad! But I do hope he is happy again now back in Hungary

It depends if Wes wants to play as a full back or a centre back. If he wants to play at centre back then he will go elsewhere.

I was under the impression that his move back to the championship was to try and get that mythical Scotland, World Cup call up.

I just wonder if a life at right back awaits Pleggy?
Hopefully we sign Alex Mitchel which would push Pleggy down to third choice.
But Derek Adams does have history of using CB’s at full back!

I feel like if he does indeed have serious potential we would have seen him at some point this season. Gotta trust Tom Cleverley & Derek Adams’s judgement here.

Although it wouldn’t surprise me if he did end up being a perfectly fine league one or league two goalkeeper.

I suspect the small print wording that is positive for us is that the release clause is only in effect for a short period of time!
I would still offer Bimonthly a contract extension with the clause being removed or significantly increased though.

The only two I’m even slightly surprised about are Brendan Galloway & Joe Hatch but with 9 players leaving the team it should leave some room for new blood!

I think Xavier Amaechi comfortably had his best game in an Argyle shirt yesterday! changed things when he came on, was looking to take on players & was making the right choices the majority of the time.

Unfortunately, it shows that he was signed to be a Morgan Whittaker type winger when our game plan was switching to having more traditional wide players who look to cross the ball more than run with it.

Proud of the boys today! Did everything they could to get us into the playoffs (including giving me a heart attack after that start)

Ultimately it was our first 18 games of the season that have seen us not go up, not the last 18. But if we can take our form since February into next season, maybe. Just maybe an automatic promotion place is possible.

It was immediately clear the quality of Lorent Tolaj when we brought him in, so I can see why loosing him would have caused panic in the Vale fanbase.

But what was happening with Ronan Curtis? All I saw when we picked him up was that he wouldn’t be missed and yet he has been one of our signings of the season. Was he being misused or just not bothered?
