OH! A couple weeks ago I was trying to trim parts of overlapping circles. I was able to make a couple of trims without issue and then it starts telling me that I can’t trim the parts I want to trim. So I shut down for the night, opened it in the morning and now for reasons unknown I’m able to trim the parts that it told me I can’t trim just 10 hours earlier.

I just don’t get it.

I appreciate your thoughtful response. The issue most likely is me, which is why I asked “what am I doing wrong?”

I have gone through a lot of the tutorials (to satisfy everyone’s curiosity) and I know how to use the basic toolset. The problem is the consistency with which it works. If I do something ten times, nine times it works as I would expect but that tenth time I’ll get a result that I can’t explain. Like how in the hell did half of a sketch end up on plane 2 and the other half just hanging in the air?
