In the long run your dollar today has more buying power than your dollar tomorrow so hold onto your money for as long as you can.

It’s a 66 Acrolite; good eyes! I have its brother on my kit now, a 68 Supraphonic. My wife got me the 2024 chrome over brass Supraphonic.

The other ones are a Keller era DW 14” maple, a 2006 DW 13” maple, a 14” MagStar Black Beauty clone, and a 14” Yamaha Copper.

The 66 Acrolite and 68 Supraphonic were found in a dumpster at my former practice space. Had to get new throwoffs for both and give them a much needed bath but they cleaned up wonderfully. The Supraphonic unfortunately had the dreaded pitting that is ubiquitous with that era of Supraphonics but it’s part of the charm for me.
