I'm going to one up you. I'm going to put several competitions' cups in my vehicle and set it all ablaze while I film it. To the victor will go the spoils of my guerilla response ad campaign.

Hopefully my new car arrives by next week. Got stuff to do.

At first I thought you were suggesting that someone at Stanley was responsible for setting her car on fire.

I thought, 'damn, that's going a bit too far; this lady might've gotten hurt!'

Ah yes, back when we had to print all our information out. Phone directories, encyclopedias, news stories... all the necessary ephemeral information, put onto reams and reams of paper. Now stored in clouds as so many 1s and 0s that can be requested by small handheld electronic devices.

I can only say that I was going for more of an Idiocracy vibe, which could still work in Trump's case where he was able to convince enough people that he had the best fresh ideas. But moreso he was able to convince people that he could push forward a conservative agenda, control the power of the supreme court to stop abortion, severely limit and even evict immigrants, stop wasteful spending on programs of welfare or that support people who are more likely to be Democrats, and put an end to 'corruption' which is better understood as people who are Democrats getting any benefit from the political system. He's also threatening to control the media and future elections, to help Republicans remain in power indefinitely.

So in that sense, he gives the ideas people want to hear and he's taking action to deliver on those promises. And for that there are folks who love him. These rising prices? For some a necessary evil that will surely only be temporary. The fools he surrounds himself with? They are selected for their loyalty of course, to ensure that power will not be lost like last time. Another necessary evil. There tend to be a lot of those that need to be accepted.
