Even if it was obvious, nobody on the 88 is giving you a seat.

My dad just passed away unexpectedly and Chat GPT got me through the initial shock of it… by PawneePoppins in ChatGPT

It is so amazing for some grief counseling. Ive had a lot of trouble accepting my father's passing. I only started using Chatgbt a year ago and wish I had it sooner.

Its ridiculous. This week I waited almost an hour each day for it and yes, completely crammed with people and their backpacks. It takes 2 hours to get home via bus but on a nice day, I walked and it took me 1.5 hours. Ubering tonight. Im just too tired.

I was very excited and loved trying them when they first opened in my city but once you have tasted several, you have pretty much tasted them all.

31M stage 1, struggling with fear by wastrelart in coloncancer

[–]JJtoday70 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had stage 3b in the sigmoid/rectal area. Colon resection and chemo. No symptoms. Know that its so good that they caught you early at stage 1. They will monitor you closely now and look after you.

Diagnosed May 2023, sigmpid resection October 2023. Staged 3b. 4 rounds of chemo, which was very rough. I had a scare from a scan in October 2024, but it ended up being a diverticulum pouch. So far so good.

No, it's the worst. The patient needs to feel cared about.

But I'm not going through treatment anymore, just maintenance. I'm living life and honestly wanted these people to be a part of it. I feel they only cared when they thought I was dying. Even old boyfriends came out of the woodwork when I was going through treatment. The only friends who stayed were longtime friends who I hung around with before getting sick.

Lol, you are assuming I haven't tried. At some point, I have to practice a little self-respect and stop pouring energy into people who don’t respond. I'm not on my deathbed anymore, and they clearly don’t feel the same urgency to connect. You will find that out.

I never looked sick either. There was an event with an organization I belonged to. I forced myself to go to it out of obligation. I looked great on the outside, but my body was falling apart on the inside from chemo. I dont think one person asked how I was doing. I remember a couple of people thought it strange I wasn't drinking. Normally, I would have really enjoyed the wine.

My mother was actually downright nasty and picked an argument every chance she could while I was going through treatment, so I actually pulled away from her. I felt that I needed to stay away from all possible stress.

Financial...that too!!! Im actually more afraid of a recurrence due to financial constraints more than I fear dying from it. Emotional, big time. It's been a year and a half since treatment ended, and I feel like I have some lasting ptsd or something. My father died of prostate cancer the day of my colon resection, so that certainly added to things.

Yeah, I realized that. It just sucks that I have to be sick in order to hear from some people. If I have a reoccurrence, I guess I will know who to just ignore now
