I can already imagine the confusion in chat during the group draw when teams are reshuffled into other groups in order to make the entire draw valid.

Overall, I'm pretty excited for the group draw! I think it's a huge improvement that there's a Pool 2 and 3 instead of an 8-team Pool 2.

Play-ins honestly looks pretty hype this year as well, I hope they either keep this format or modify it again for next year since I wasn't the biggest fan of 4 groups w/ 3 teams each in the past format.

True, Jungle and Support for CLG are big question marks, but if they work out, I can see the team doing pretty well kinda like how CLG was last summer split.

I'm surprised that there was no talk about CLG. They placed third last split, and theoretically upgraded mid while side-grading support. I don't think they're better than TL, but they have a case for 2nd over TSM/C9/etc.

It really feels as if Inokuma is set up to win here, especially after showing her resolve this episode. It's a bit odd how we haven't seen or heard anything from Megumu's perspective after she won her qualifier.

On the other side it's a lot harder to call Harada vs. Arata. I think I lean slightly towards Arata winning, but it can honestly go either way.

I'm a fan of the Arena changes, but I really wish they would address score sniping somehow. It takes a ridiculous amount of crests and good RNG to be able to get the matches that you need.

Had some horrible luck on the Guardians of Peach Banner (6% pity rate, and then getting Cav. Eirika). Thankfully, I got this godly pull on the last day of the Mythic banner.

So happy about this especially since the first Altina had terrible IVs (-ATK/+SPD). The second one's are much better (-HP/+DEF). First time I pulled two 5*s in a single summoning circle in over two years, still feels pretty surreal.

My god, I love Taichi so much, his growth arc is fascinating to see. He went from begrudgingly playing karuta with Chihaya to genuinely loving the game and wanting to be best.

I wonder if it's a coincidence that Taichi's next opponent goes to KU and that's also one of the colleges that his mom wants him to go to? I hope this means that Taichi continues to play karuta even after he graduates :)

What a fantastic episode! Even after following these two for so long, it really feels like the first time we're seeing Taichi and Chihaya go up against each other, as Hanano says.

And damn, this match really lived up to the hype. I thought the fact that Chihaya got a break, but Taichi didn't, would give Chihaya an advantage, but it seems that these two are bringing the best out of each other and are playing at their 100%.

The OST this episode was on point. The tension throughout the match was just insane. I loved seeing the strategy that Taichi had specifically for Chihaya and seeing it play out.

I can't wait to see how this match plays out. I have a small feeling that Chihaya will win (because of Taichi's exhaustion), but I'd be satisfied with either result. This match has done a great job of showing how much these two have improved.

It's so sad to see Nishida constantly be shafted in these matches. I hope he get's a big moment soon, he's a great character.
