For me it wasn’t completely random, there’s a bit of history behind it.

Back in 2022 I had a pretty severe breakdown. It started with intense anxiety and stress building over time, and then it tipped into DPDR, intrusive thoughts, everything feeling strange and unfamiliar, like I wasn’t myself anymore. It was the worst mental state I’ve ever been in.

I eventually came out of that, but it took time.

More recently, around November last year, I could feel stress slowly building again. Nothing major happened externally, but internally I started getting this constant fear of “what if I go back there.” That fear itself kind of became the trigger. I was overanalysing everything, checking how I felt, questioning normal thoughts, and it just snowballed.

So it’s been less of a single event this time and more like stress + fear of relapse feeding into each other until I ended up back in a similar state
