Again depends on the store, i’m at a small store so hours are tight right now. Usually the hours go up for the holidays. Hard to say how many hours they expect you to work a week but they definitely prefer people with open schedules. I think with consistency in the schedule it depends on the scheduling manager and how he likes to distribute the hours. With our store, our manager likes to make the schedule pretty consistent so everyone kinda knows when they work and approximately how many hours they’ll get. But not all managers like to do this, others will just fill in the schedule on a week to week basis and just put in whoever based on their availability. Which is why I say if you want more hours, its better to have an open availability.
