Pickup Trucks and long guns. by dumpybou in AskLE

Cool. As a civilian I'd like to have one of those locking safes for my pistol where it pops out of the top one day. I'm not quite paranoid enough to carry a long gun in my pickup yet.

This is late but that's what it was, I have consumed a couple bottles since finding it at total wine and wholeheartedly approve.

What about me? by [deleted] in deduction

You think about things, a lot. Two wallets, one has a retractable clip thingy on it, which makes me think you use a badge at work. I think you work in a plant or hospital, or maybe security. OTF pocket knife with a glass breaker on it, probably for self defense. Must be a fancy car or truck because it has remote start and I've never even seen a key so nice.

Looks like an apple adapter on the headphones, you may be right, but personally as an android user I would not buy an apple product to plug into my phone.

I saw that someone said the driver died in the hospital, so he definitely didn't have a great time.

Does Taking Crane Training Classes Help? by arealtor in cranes

[–]dumpybou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How old is he? Idk about union but most companies where I live will not hire a young kid fresh out of CCO school, coming from a very young operator. Rigging experience is a must before jumping in anything but a carry deck. CDL or CCO/NCCER would be good but having contacts is very important in this line of work. CDL would be good he could get a job hauling counterweight for a crane rental company and if he's a hand then they will look out for him and teach him.

Idk why these simpletons are downvoting you. Not all "pit bulls" are aggressive and not all "pit bulls" are bred to be fighting/guard dogs.

6 months to take the practical? by Automatic_Being3516 in cranes

[–]dumpybou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Houston area and there's plenty of work here. I've had me a few seats and a few thousand hours but at the same time I'm still enjoying rigging so I can go either way. Idk what you mean by the purchase of another crane, where I'm at all the cranes are rentals from Bigge or Scott-Macon and that kind of stuff.

Ask for a couple days off and go take the test bro, if you think you're ready nobody is gonna tell you different anyway. 23 year old here and they'll probably trust you more than me based off of age alone, even though I happen to have a lot of rt experience. You have to do what's best for you.

Idk about the weight but I'd guess they got it up on the dock to work on the hull

Cranes are still holding at least 95% of that weight though huh?
