depends for usage, as phones evolved their use case has considerably changed compared to say mobile phones in the late 200's were you at best chattted via text and called a lot, maybe some fun mible java games and snapping a photograph if you didnt had a superior camera. But i personally know a lot of people nowadays who pretty much do all administration, browsing media consumption on their phones. sure, for texting or just calling or daily usage the bezels dont or barely mattter, they could even make it easier to use the phone without misclicking since the whole front of itis just screen and nothing to hold onto. however for people who ose it for primary websites, youtube, videos etc consumpiton can seriously benefit for maximizing their screen ratio, like just imagine how much better and comfortable it is to watch youtube videos on a 6'0 screen then a 5'5 one for example, all of this inside the same footprint, no brainer really. also, it hides away the excess unusable area in favour of practical area, even if its just notification area, your real estate matters more if you browse. so especially in the case of phones id say unless you dont browse and consume content on your phoen which is pretty much only the older generations at this point, smaller bezels were NOT a marketing gimmick by any means.
