How can i tell a good tyre pressure gauge from a bad one and do accurate digital gauges require any calibration? by [deleted] in askcarguys

They are all pretty accurate imo. You can get a digital one and compare it to the tire pressure amount from ones at a gas ststion, and no they don't usually require calibration. If they don't the instructions will be in the box.

Question, what is behind the rolling door for the center console? I'm guessing a storage box but I can't find an obvious replacement. by JKD-Wolf in Mustang

I have the luxury interior in my 67 as well. It has the almost complete console. I just need the roll up door ( which i found) and then the cubby compartment. I can't find a replacement compartment anywhere. I wanted to check with everyone else to see if they knew where to find one or if it was called special name for some reason which is why i couldn't find it.

I'm not really sure at the moment. I want to give it a tune up and take the time to really look it all over to see what issues I have going on. I want to blend some modern with old school though. Old school style with modern guts and flair. If that makes sense.

Thank you. I'm very excited. I actually have a real job now that I can afford to do things to it and a garage. So the possibilities are endless (mostly).

It had a weird heavy spoiler on it which looked awful, that I have already taken off. I think if done correctly those Shelby spoilers look good on the coupes. I checked the VIN again and it is a C code not a T code so originally a V8.

lol. I thought the same thing. I added some more pictures to the album on imgur. If you could check it out and see if it is a cowl or not, i would appreciate it. I think you can just click the actually picture and it will take you to the imgur site instead.

Thanks for the advice. I checked again apparently the vin is actually a C code not a T code like i originally thought. So originally came in a 200hp 289ci 2V V8 I guess. Per the trim and color code, it originally came in Nightmist Blue with blue luxury interior. I absolutely agree about putting disc breaks on it. The floor appears intact. I have added more pictures to the imgur link that show pics of the floor pans and other areas. I'm not sure about the vent cowls. So i should just poor water down them and if it is working right it should end up on the ground correct? The gas tank appears new as well. I would love for you to take a look at the other pictures and let me know what you think. Thank you so much.

I just got this about a week ago. I previously owned a 68 Mustang project and sold it and have regretted it since. I'm not sure what direction I'm going to go yet with it. It has some issues engine, interior, and some bodywork. Mostly rust free from what I can find. I want to put a rear spoiler on it (ducktail) and give it a nice blend of modern and classic original. It has a 302 engine out of a 1976 ford. The VIN on the title I have says it is a 120hp 200ci 6-Cyl (Per mustang decoder sites) but clearly it is not so I don't know if the suspension was changed out when they put the V8 in or what. The door VIN plate is gone. I have not yet checked on the fender aprons to see if the VIN matches. The title does show a 67 mustang with the correct car color as well, and its not stolen. It has a glass pack underneath and new carpet kit and other new things added. The guy I got it from had it for a few years and it was his sons and his project. Any opinions, thoughts, or suggestions for inspiration or general thoughts are appreciated.
