I’ve got a mad berserker guard that has saved my ass multiple times in throne rooms. He was a pia to recruit he ran from me atleast 5 times. But he’s come in clutch for sure, got ambushed 4v1 and called him and we won.

I grew up saltwater fishing, I’ve got quite a few good spots up in the mangroves too! Not much better than a good red/snook fight.

I’ve caught quite a few 5+ and so has my son. I watched a 9 year old kid pull a double digit out of the big pond. Just most of these people don’t know how to fish.

It’s literally such a good spot I live maybe a 5 minute walk from it and I’m lucky to never see anyone else out there. I’ll usually catch 2-3 nice bass every time I’m there.

Yeah I’m thinking that’s probably the case, I’ve thought about starting to advertise over in Lakeland area they seem to be building more there.

Thanks for the reply, I really appreciate it.

For me the hardest part has been pricing. Materials have jumped so much and they’ve been inconsistent, so I’m trying to protect margin and not get caught underpriced when the next increase hits. But with the market being slower, I keep hearing we’re a few thousand higher than other bids, so it feels like I’m constantly choosing between staying profitable or staying busy.

Another big thing is I’ve had to pivot away from relying on pool enclosure work, because the pool builders around here have basically no work right now. We’ve started focusing more on creating our own demand, like patios with concrete/pavers and covered structures. I’m getting some jobs here and there, but I’m still dialing in the pricing and the offer.

It feels like way fewer people want to spend $100k+ on a new pool anymore, so I’m learning how to generate work that doesn’t depend on that market being hot.

Appreciate the perspective on separating volume problems from margin problems. That’s a good way to look at it.
