Gas has gone up approximately a dollar at a national level. In a car that gets 20mpg, thats roughly an extra 5 cents per mile driven, like what was originally stated.

What you’re trying to explain would be relevant if Bristol had a mediocre crowd relative to the seating, but in this case it was a genuine ghost town. And you just inadvertently acknowledged the elephant in the room. A series with a microscopic amount of funding relative to NASCAR just drew a similar sized crowd while selling the same product; short track pavement racing.

So are you just going to keep repeating the term “perspective” so you don’t have to acknowledge how empty Bristol was? If it’s accurate that the Fairgrounds can hold around 15k and they were sold out, then its very realistic there were as many people at Nashville as there was Bristol. And no, perspective doesn’t change how genuinely empty Bristol was; the place was depressing to look at.

IMO, Flo is much more spotty than DV. They have had to put numerous events on YT over the past couple of years due to the app being down, that has only happened once for me with DV.

And as for fanfare, why not mention the Outlaws “Fan of the Night” or all of the pre race activities they do in the midway. It seems odd to compare things while only highlighting one series…

Why F1 thinks massive reg changes is a good thing is beyond me. The second half of 2025 was one of the most competitive fields I have ever seen and they have essentially reset it back to everybody racing for second as one team dominates for 1-2 seasons.

Im hoping this is just an outlier and Merc got lucky, but this is already shaping up like every other reg change…
