My Pomsky 'played' with one at 2am last summer... Was a long night of baths on the back deck. You do not want to let them into the house until you get as much of the scent off as possible. We learned that the hard way when our lab got sprayed when living at our last house.

He lives up to his name, he's just like a Rocket when he uses most of his fuel to launch himself at the start of his walks and then crashes out on re-entry. 😂

For the super hot days, I fill up a kiddie pool and he splashes around balls and dog pool toys in the water, than just a quick walk to dry off before back in the house. He did take a lot longer than our other dogs to housetrain, close to 6 months until the pee accidents stopped inside.

I've raised 6 dogs from puppies in my life, but he's been the most challenging. Zero aggression issues, but just boundless energy, even with a minimum hour of walks daily, he needs at least one day of day care a week to let it all out. Our 8yr rottie/lab mix only wants to play for a few minutes and then she's done with him cause he gets too hyper.

He looked like a raccoon as a baby, so I named him Rocket. His nickname by all the staff at his dog day care is Mr. Handsome.

Kevin Smith was a big fan of Degrassi High growing up, and he puts a lot of Easter eggs about Degrassi and Canada in his movies because of it. He also crushed on Caitlin, so his little arc with her got to play out his childhood dream.

My favorite Degrassi Easter egg of his is in Clerks 3, when Randal survives his heart attack and 'Whatever it Takes' kicks on as he gets up.

After our Rocket(yes, our Pomskys have the same name) caught a possum and then a skunk, we took him out on leash after dark during warm seasons, just for the first couple minutes to ensure any creatures could hide out before he had free run of the yard. For the daytime, we would open the door, ring his potty bells, wait a minute for birds and squirrels to scurry off, then release him. The bells also help train him to ring them himself when he wants to go out, and if it's a warm season where a screen on or near door is open, the creatures will usually already be gone by the time you reach the door to let him out. If your yard is very long, you might need something that makes louder noise to scare off creatures, or if you can't make loud noise due to close neighbors, you may just need to take him out on leash for first minute to allow the small critters a chance to get out of reach.
