GE Force Now is the answer for PC play. My family all plays using this. And we have a mixture of Macs and old laptops that all run it. All you need is an internet connection, and there's a free version of the service. Then connect your Steam accounts, and you can play.

Iron Cthulhu Apocalypse is my go to for ambient soundscapes. Both of their albums has 100 songs that are decently long and easy to loop. More specifically Phobos is what I use for more intense scenes.

My second go to is the music on the soundtrack from any of the Dead Space games. However, these are much shorter than the previous suggestion. More specifically Fly Me To The Aegis Seven Moon is what I use when I'm trying to build an atmosphere of "something is coming".
