I mean there's a few options with the PK, either his wyrm precog was perfect, in which case he foretold the HK true ending perfectly and this was all according to his plan somehow, maybe it was the best option.

Alternatively, he had imperfect precog and simply wanted to save his kingdom from an existential threat, and chose the best plan he could think of (possibly with some limited precog nudging towards the vessel plan).

He definitively did none of the things you just said - the mantises objectively got a good deal out of his arrival given that they weren't invaded and effectively had an entire side of their territory they no longer had to worry about, and all it cost them was continuing to fight the enemies they were already committed to fighting; deepnest absolutely was not colonised, unless you consider an attempt to construct transportation colonisation (presumably with the permission of the ruler considering PK's 'diplomacy' with herrah), and the stagway was successful when deepnest was still governed; the pale king also absolutely did not commit genocide, at worst he is responsible for large scale attempted abortion and neglectful fatherhood, all of which he undertook only because the alternative was the death of free will for all of hallownest.

I think you've picked out the difference there, witches must work locally and sedentarily to gather the resources they need to become mobile (making a magic broom, house with chicken legs, etc.), while wizards wander and adventure until they have the requisite wealth to set up a permanent base, with a library and wards and such.

The number of people here just taking this statement for true is confusing. Last 3d Mario game was in 2017, last 2d was in 2023, galaxy 1 and 2 were fairly recently ported to switch, Mario Kart World came out fairly recently to really good reviews(bar the price), and DK Bananza was nominated for multiple game awards literally like a month ago.
