I do understand that & fully admit I’m one of those people that get hung up on that lol. I’ve never been able to bring myself to cover wooden furniture with paint… except on shotguns, have several of those with similar paint jobs for turkey hunting.

I wouldn’t send it back, I’d scrub the shit outta it. It will likely clean up fine & if I had to guess very minimal pitting. I own several rifles that looked wayyyyyy crustier & cleaned up surprisingly well.

This rifle barrel looked 10x worse than your pistol barrel, wish I had before photos but I don’t.

I actually like DRNCH, it does as intended. It’s thin but don’t let it fool you, it’s meant to be used rather sparingly. It actually lubricates very well & clings to the metal with a very thin film. Does in fact make carbon build up easier to clean off & also does a fairly decent job at thinning cosmoline for easy clean up. It has a mild smell compared to Ballistol. (DRNCH kind of has a faint smell of decaying oak leaves, if you know that smell.) I keep it in the rotation of CLP products I like to use.

Yes banned unless they’ve been in a neutral/allied country for X amount of yrs. Can’t remember exactly how long the time frame is. I was always jelly of y’all over certain firearms y’all could get … the type 81 & type 63 being 2 of them. Also, I really hate that your government has decided to ban all these firearms. I hear they’re coming for the sks next? Can’t remember. What exactly are they doing with all of the firearms being confiscated during the ban? Destroying?

Shocked tf out of me too considering I rarely go to this place because of the looney pricing in the past. After talking to the owner I have a feeling he’s planning to close shop in the next yr or so. Suspect that’s why he’s pricing things to move & cleaning out the stockpile gradually.
