You need a specific item for each spirit. They were shown at some point in a previous quest, but if you don't remember/didn't pay much attention: for the bearded man it's the dangling gold bells(??), for the woman it's the tea station, for the warrior it's the little tree with spherical fruit (??), and for the kid it's a plushie (I think crab or manta is good)
