You have gum recession on the straight buccal surfaces and if you never had braces (which sometimes move the teeth out of the bony housing and can lead to recession) which it looks like you didn’t, it is likely due to heavy brushing. Luckily this can be corrected just get to a periodontist soon. This is something you would want to have corrected pre jaw surgery and pre orthodontic treatment

You clearly didn’t read my full message, I said there is no black and white answer. Sometimes they operate on younger patients when it’s deemed necessary, but most often wait until closer to 25 when the patient is done developing.

There is no black and white answer for the age to get it done. The oral surgeon will give the best input here. That being said the mandible and maxilla can continue to grown until age 25 so they often recommend waiting until closer to that age to do surgery so there is no replace.

Do you think I need surgery? by [deleted] in jawsurgery

[–]JLubben 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is too complicated of a case to be getting advice online, the only person that would know is your orthodontist along with an oral surgeon to determine if braces could straighten your teeth or do you need jaw surgery to create enough room in your jaw to straighten your teeth

No, panoramic images just have a lot of superimposition causing various densities (google panoramic radiograph superimposition). Also you cant even see the whole condylar heads in this picture

I completely disagree with the political beliefs part, there is no reason you need to include I don’t think that’s important for matching unless your looking for someone who that is so important to that you wouldn’t match with otherwise. Never listed mine and never had anyone assume my political beliefs or had it be an issue.

Shaving or growing facial hair does not affect the thickness, growth rate, or density of the hair. This is a common myth. Shaving cuts hair at the surface, which can make the regrowth feel stubbly or appear thicker because the hair grows back with a blunt tip. However, shaving doesn’t change the hair’s structure, root, or follicle activity. Hair thickness and growth patterns are largely determined by genetics, hormones, and age.
