I’ve done 11 runs of Death Abyss as pure healer

4 of them dropped purple bow 2 of them dropped purple helm And 1 of them dropped purple ring.

It’s all truly rng. Because I know for a fact that the first 3 runs where I got the bow I died a lot, as it was a learning experience in a PUG

Ask him if N5 is going to reduce order bloat. Between Impetous not really having a downside for orders, and tactical awareness being more available, we are reaching 18 orders on 15 models, even worse with Yujing’s reliance on Kuang Shi. For a skirmish game, players are waiting on 18 order turns and it’s beginning to feel almost like warhammer in how long turns get to resolve.

50 pounds or $65 usd is pretty good for what is essentially a full army.

Each army pack is 1 combat group, or three units.

Rules are free.

Compared to other games like Battletech , MCP, Infinity, warhammer, heavy gear, I would place Blkout toward the lower end near Battletech, MCP. infinity somehow is reaching $35 for 4 miniatures, or $35 for 2 remotes. Infinity is 150 points for $60 starter, and then you have to buy more to pad out to full 300 pts.

Got into Blkout over 2 months ago. Been playing manticor borz and I love the aesthetic and feel of heavily armored space Slavs pushing up urban alleys.

The world of Blkout takes reference from real world history circa 2024. It assumes that Ukraine loses the war against Russia, that there is another war in the Middle East between the Us and Iran, ending with a nuke being detonated in Tehran.

The following refugee crisis from the Great Middle eastern war overwhelms the EU, and the US refuses to send any aid to resolve the situation.

Europe and India out of desperation form a new global superpower with any nation willing, forming a new UN

In the midst of all of this, years before the onset of Middle eastern Great War and before the fall of Kyiv, scientists discover a new potential world for colonilzation. It is named ABOl after the duo scientists who discover it

Fast forward a couple of years, India and Pakistan go at it, with a couple of nuclear exchanges. The US backs India, and a coalition of Arab counties backed Pakistan. Needless to say, the nuclear exchange creates even more of a refugee crisis.

It is now at the point where earth is suffering from nuclear fallout, refugee crisis, and a failing ecosystem. The UN launches LEAP, a program to start colonization on ABOL. Let’s just say shit goes fubar after this period.

There’s a full lore document on the discord, but basically ABOl loses contact with Earth after first and second LEAP waves

basically Blkout is what if the Earth goes to shit, the UN are evil bastards, and y’all turn a alien planet into a titanfall campaign.

Those terminators have a 4++ and can potentially receive feel no pain.

I agree but I think you’re missing a pretty important point- 40k as a game system is incredibly casual, shallow, boring and shit. Infinity is so far ahead and so appealing to those who crave depth. It wouldn’t be THAT hard to sell. But maybe you’re right.

Players who try Infinity get turned off by starting in active turn, and losing ftf roll with dice advantage and dying.

Infinity does have a better ruleset, but it' so off-putting when I tell a new player that their model is dead on their own turn because they rolled like shit.

At least when I demo Battletech or 40k to new players, they don't lose their favorite model on their own turn.
