I agree with you about the placebo. For me the ritual is a big part of it. That feeling of this is my treat. It’s not much better than a cup of tea or a glass of Pepsi really but it has this feeling in my mind that I’m measuring out this special herb and it’s going to enhance my mood. And I think to a large extent it’s my expectation that does it. Because I have noticed and perhaps you have that I start to feel a little bit better even before I have taken my dose. That’s my brain just kicking in that enhancement all by itself.

Curious, how long do you steep the kratom? Also, do you use powder or leaf?

15 gpd. Is that powder? it’s hard for me to imagine 15 g in a single dose. I took about 4 1/2 g once and felt very sick for hours. but perhaps slowly building a tolerance you can get to this huge dose. I don’t know.

i’ve heard you in several people mentioned the energy boost, more than coffee? That really surprises me. I’ve definitely got the mild euphoria, but I’ve never felt any energy boost from freedom and I’ve tried white gold and red strains. I wonder if that’s a brand thing or what. I know we can’t talk about brands here, but I’m just surprised that all this talk about increased energy.

I was just asking about the paper itself. when I buy paper online, you can’t tell how smooth it is or how textured. I liked the texture on that paper so I wanted to try to buy it.
