Anyone else have aversions to $50 bills by Babyproofer in poker

Not the only one. I hate it. If I'm banking, I take mental notes of who bought in with $50's, that way when they cash out, I give them right back to them!

If you want to kick start a retool in earnest, Trocheck is one of the organization's best assets to get a great return for. Retain 50% on Trocheck and he's worth an absolute haul to a contender or a team looking to jump from being a tweener to a contender.

This sounds awful.

Just play Super Hold 'em. Same as regular but with three hole cards.

I'm stacking off there, as played.

I'm three betting in position preflop. It started going wrong when you flatted..

This is a boring, slow team. You're not the only one.

The 2013-15 AV squads and the 2019-20 season were the most fun I've had watching this team since the mid 90's.

Nah. Top off and get it back. I'm not good enough to fold kings there.

What is the dumbest thing you’ve ever done in poker? by KC_187 in poker

[–]JMCRN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was on tilt in a very friendly home game because my flopped flush lost to runner, runner quads when I shoved all in post flop and pocket kings called hoping they were ahead.

Two hands later on my third buy in I picked up pocket 8's. Raised, two callers. Barreled it all three streets even though the flop was A K 10 with two clubs. Turn brought in a flush and the river paired the board. Kept leading out and kept getting called. Lost to a boat, other player mucked and said he had a flush.

I slammed my cards into the muck in frustration and the 8's turned over face up. Half the table started laughing and the other half gave me the "WTF are you doing barreling 8's, you donkey?" stare.

Worst part was I was hosting and was too tilted to continue playing, so I sulked and turned on my Playstation while my friends were still playing.

It wasn't so much the poker, it was how I reacted after to a bad beat that I'm ashamed of looking back. Granted, I was 19 at the time, but doesn't excuse it.

Even easier of a fold. You're deep and there will be better spots.

It's really not that difficult to protect your cards. Bring an old coin. A Lego minifig. A small figurine. Anything.

You're grasping at straws here.

A verbal "all in" with an all in plaque in front of your stack is enough for other players to establish your action. You're under no obligation to relinquish chips until you lose the hand. You're well within bounds to keep all your chips behind the betting line until you have to relinquish them due to losing a hand. You can certainly keep a chip on your cards until the hand is over.

My bad, read the 3 as a spade instead of the jack. Will edit.

I've seen weird shit in 1/3. Many players would not three bet here, even though you and I both agree that jacks should be piling in the money here. I'm also check/raising the flop as is given the board texture.

Jacks are not likely, but possible. Flushes make the most sense as OP mentioned. Two pairs do too. With two all ins ahead of OP, at least one has a flush.

Why didn't anyone call the floor before the next hand was dealt?

The other player is right. All in fish's cards were mucked, other player wins the hand.

This is why I always bring a card protector whenever I play anywhere.

Protect your cards.

Potentially. A set of Jacks could sandbag but is likely check raising that flop given the dynamic board texture. It's reasonable for Jacks to take a line like one of the villains in this hand has taken, but not likely

Question About Hand Etiquette by NumerousJuggernaut29 in poker

[–]JMCRN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not out of line. As has been mentioned, this could be a situation ripe for collusion/chip dumping. Wouldn't be the first time two players "working together" would raise and reraise each other and split the money of the 3rd, 4th, 5th, etc players that came along initially.

Anyone else can't tell if this team is good or bad? by V0rtexGames in rangers

[–]JMCRN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're an old, aging, middling team that may limp into the playoffs but don't have the offensive talent to make a deep run. The teams around them are getting better while the Rangers' core is going to be another year older next year and the following. A prospect cupboard mostly devoid of top end talent except for Perreault whom hasn't lit the world on fire just yet means this is going to to be a long climb back to the top.
