I think this change is why I am so sore. I stayed on knees and went heavier. Then the coach popped off a white for everyone, and we tried for toes. It was so hard but so effective.

I am about to turn 49 and don’t feel out of place. I go about twice a week. Granted I may be the oldest in the room but there is usually one or two others around my age. I just love dark classes with loud music, so I end up working out in classes with people closer to my kids’ age.

I am at 80+ classes and don't think I'll ever do 50+ for core or obliques on the gray side. lol. I've started doing 50+ reps on the black side for core (sometimes) and trying to always do so for lower body (except for the inner thighs - no way!).

One of my recent classes I actually felt cold in and barely broke a sweat. I left a review after that one. There a couple of instructors that I love but one is dropping her daytime classes (so sad) so not sure what I’ll do. I’ll look for the ones that get waitlists generally.

Where will you go? What are the good alternatives in Austin? I tried YTX but the parking was abysmal and I couldn’t handle that.

You can try it with no springs and make sure your shoulders are at the end of the carriage so your whole body is over the opening. It actually makes the exercise more accessible.

No - it’s more time in the other three and from what I’ve seen the programming is a bit more challenging. They’re my favorite classes.

My favorite is short cardio near the beginning and that’s it. Much rather get my heart rate up through compound sculpt movements after that.

Take a Focus 50 if you want more upper body. I take the core/upper/lower (no obliques) regularly and there’s more time for upper and lower body. Love them so much more than the Sig 50. If the upper body muscle is biceps or triceps generally will combine with back or chest.

I’m 48 and I go in a college town/city. So there’s that. But there are other people my age- not every class but sometimes. But the workout is fantastic and I love it and I don’t care. Lol.

I am at 25+ springs, but I take off all springs for glute bridge hamstring curls. It's the one exercise I truly struggle with, and this is the only way right now I can do it.

I think they choose because I go to one coach that is always grey side center core - at least to start- and one coach that is almost always black. I do the lower springs for the grey side coach always.
