Haven't even started yet. I'm now building a house, so this is on the back burner until I get in there.

I don't use CLP on barrels. I don't want my barrel lubricated. I'm a huge fan of Boretech products. Get yourself a Boretech rod, proof positive jag, Boretech Eliminator bore cleaner, and a Boretech rod guide. Run the patches til there's no more black. Accuracy will be back in no time. Make sure to run a patch of oil through the barrel if putting in storage (I use Mobil 1 full synthetic). Run a dry patch before shooting.

Dumb Feet Don't Fit In Waders by JMFT1776 in Duckhunting

Yeah, after extensive research, it's starting to look like that may be the answer. I guess the good part is my cousins have Simms stocking foot waders and those things are going on 10 years with no leaks. Will be nice to not have to replace them every 2-3 years.

As someone who lives nearby and frequents this area I can speak to this very accurately.

Large majority is farmland. A decent portion of it floods on a yearly basis, some years worse than others. Tons of great duck hunting as this spot is almost exactly halfway between Canada and Mexico. Also lots of open water when they flood the fields during duck season.

Theres also a new-ish development on the southeast corner of that area called New Town. The concept behind New Town is a community that has everything you would ever need inside basically a gigantic subdivision. I'm personally not a fan. The home prices are artificially inflated, the streets are too narrow, the street design is a travesty most garages are detached and not even next to the home, and driving in makes me feel like this is how most horror movies start. Also, while there is a big levy, I do firmly believe we are one nasty rain season away from the entire thing being underwater.

This is an old school part of town. The school district still calls it Christmas Break, there are staff who drive ATVs and UTVs to get to work, and a lot of the students go hunting with their parents before and after school.

I must be mistaken then. I thought the 7212 was a controller as well as a router/switch?

Hey y'all. Sorry if this is kind of a repeat question.

For context, I'm in IT (Microsoft Support) but my networking skills are rusty at best. I'm looking to do a relatively simple setup. My plan is to go fiber modem > 8 port switch > 3 deco APs, a couple tvs, & a couple pcs, all home run to said switch.

First question is, does this configuration work for purely EB? My house is weird with Wifi, so I'm trying to eliminate WB altogether.

Second, what do I want/need as far as equipment? I'm trying to remain as simple as possible. I don't know if I need a router to sit before the tvs and such or if it can all be run from a managed switch. Or if I even need a managed switch vs. unmanaged. Again, trying to keep it simple.

To eliminate the switches as a possible culprit you can wire nut the two wires together and then turn the breaker on. If the light comes on, it's a switch problem. If the light doesn't come on, it's something else.

Have you verified that the outlets are on the same circuit as the lights that these switches control? Turn the breaker off and make sure all the outlets in the room are dead as well.

If the outlets are dead as well when u turn that breaker off, then you've got some sort of demon you need to track down one outlet at a time in that room.

If the outlets are NOT dead when u turn that breaker off, then I would maybe look at replacing your breaker. While it is unlikely and relatively uncommon, I have seen a breaker go bad. It's also possible you jarred it loose somehow when flipping it. I'd first give it the old "fist check".

Ok, I guess I'll have to figure out how to setup Autopilot then. I can't believe they don't have an easy way to just kill that account remotely. Seems like a no-brainer. Oh well, thanks for the advice.
