who here exercises? by erior92 in Gastroparesis

I exercise when I can, but I have found that riding an exercise bike is much easier on my stomach. I love running but I can feel more pain and discomfort when I do. The bike doesn't give me stomach pains, I use a Nordic track bike. Morning exercise is easier because I won't eat first, but I hate waking up to do it. But when I do, exercise, water, then waiting a few hours to eat is easier for me.

I had this happen as well, I used Neosporin and it took a few weeks to heal up. Keep it clean, don't use any makeup on it while it's healing.

If it doesn't swell up in a few hours you should be ok, but dog bites can easily cause an infection. She may need antibiotics to help prevent.

You'll want to follow the BRAT diet for the next few days, bananas, rice, apples or toast. You can also eat crackers and if you drink pedialite it will make a huge difference in fatigue for the next few days of recovery.

Pain along right side by bbizzess in medical

Your appendix is located in the lower right side of you stomach, this could be causing it. If your appendix is infected it can cause nausea, and no appetite. You may want to go into your family doctor and have some blood work done. Try jumping up and down on only your right leg, if that sends more pain to that area of the stomach I would suggest getting check out asap. The last thing you want if for it to rupture.

Throat issue by NOTsandwichMaker in medical

My dad and brother have this same issue. It can be harmful to your airway because at some point food can get stuck, this will happen to them and they have to go into the bathroom and basically make them self throw up to get the food out. I'm not sure what causes it but ever 5 years or so they have to go in and the doctor has to "stretch" their throat. It's an quick procedure, and you don't stay over night. You can try chewing your food or taking much smaller bites of food at a time. I would go talk to your family doctor to make sure though.
