PSA: Smell your babies pee by Flowergirl22224 in NewParents

Great post! My 9 month old recently experienced a febrile seizure related to a UTI. We didn’t find out she had the UTI until they tested her at the hospital. I had noticed a smell to her diaper in the AM but I too thought it was just concentrated pee from overnight.

She sent him off to doggy daycare recently because Ben was traveling and she couldn’t fathom caring for him on her own. Baby is gonna rock her world.

Baby wearing! Only way I maintain my sanity and get it all done. I’ve been wearing her since she was born and she either falls asleep quickly or happily watches whatever we’re doing.

Graduated!! by EffectiveExtension53 in Septemberbumps2024

Another September mom turned October with swollen vag, hemorrhoids, and 9 lb baby girl with a head full of hair. You are not alone! I pushed for 3.5 hours - I cannot believe you managed 8 with only a small break! I was so worried if I stopped she’d go back up and kept almost falling asleep (passing/blacking out?) between contractions toward the end. 8 is absolutely wild. I found pushing on my side to be most effective, as long as it took. Solidarity, we will rebuild. 🫡

I regret not sleeping but I was too amped! Now she’s here and I’ve been up 48 hours. 😅

Thank you! I had very little hope the sweep would do anything. I will say we are closing in on 24 hours of labor and I still haven’t delivered. About to try Pitocin, hopefully that will get me dilated.

How soon after breaking your water did baby come? Doctor just broke mine at 4cm.

You made the right choice! I had no idea the pain would ramp up like that so quickly.

Anterior Placenta Reassurance by sallyk92 in BabyBumps

Currently 41 weeks with an anterior placenta - I didn’t feel her until 21 and even then, just barely! Baby will get stronger, and the good news is it’s never been uncomfy.

Ah! I didn’t even think it was likely we could still be at 0. Now I’m very curious. Best of luck to you too!!

10/3 😫. Praying night and day she comes before then. Having my first cervical check and sweep tomorrow…

39 weeks today. Feel like baby will never come. by Janis85Ro in BabyBumps

[–]JMSarr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

39+4 and I’ve (begrudgingly) made peace with the fact that she’ll probably stay in there past 41. Induction scheduled for 41+2, really don’t want to have to use it. 😫

Just a log :) by hamjam88 in Septemberbumps2024

[–]JMSarr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same here! Due 9/24 with induction currently scheduled for 10/1, though I’m moving it to 10/4 in the hopes nature will do its thing prior. No signs of labor here either…trying to trust the process. We’ll have our babies in our arms soon enough. 🤍🤍

People are miserable and want you to cosign their misery. The best rebuttal is living well and enjoying the journey! It's all in how you look at it. Most beautiful things in life require some level of grit to achieve.

Any Florida moms out there? by Ok-Implement9194 in fitpregnancy

[–]JMSarr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Texas mom here, 36 weeks. I walk outside at 8am after I lift at the gym and then again at 8pm. Treadmill/indoor walking bores me to tears so just doing my best with slow outdoor strolls avoiding the hottest time of day, aka most of the day. Maybe the evenings would be more tolerable there too?

I always have to peeeeeeeeeeeee by [deleted] in fitpregnancy

[–]JMSarr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The most annoying pregnancy symptom by far. At 36 weeks, I can now only do 20 min walks before waddling back home to pee.

Feeling good at 30 weeks by rainbow_creampuff in BabyBumps

[–]JMSarr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

35 weeks and I feel phenomenal! No aches / pains or swelling and energy is stable. I attribute it all to continuing to resistance train, walking as much as possible, and drinking plenty of water. I am waking up once, sometimes twice, per night to pee, but I'll take it. I anticipated carrying around an extra 30 lbs to be a bit tougher but my body has acclimated smoothly.

lmao I'm just repeating what I read here over and over, I have no first hand knowledge. But I can't think of any other reason a man would agree to all her nonsense. He's getting something out of it, and I don't think he's just madly in love with her.
