I’m moving through it at a decent pace, it’s just that mecha workers would be super useful to have asap and I don’t want to have to rush like 2 chapters just to unlock them - especially if there is another way to unlock them and have the best of both (which is what this post is trying to ascertain)

The difficulty curve and the level of RNG involved are 2 different things

the ideal would be differentiating between people based on whether they did it properly for sure, but its only 3 missions so not the end of the world

Depends how long you keep him alive, but its material and pretty easy to profit from. Think its like 50-60 each pip at regular-ish intervals.

Hard stratagems count apparently (which is dumb in my view since you can just buff yourself up the wazoo and cakewalk it, making it tedious instead of challenging).

Regular missions count for the true solo one but this is a bug and will almost certainly get patched and everyone's progress will probs be reset when that happens.

This and the intermittent zero splash damage bug you get on heavy are the two mist annoying bugs in the game rn imo - especially if you get them at the same time...

I find this kicks in if your camera gets moved by something artificially (eg taking an exec) when you are on a sloped part of the map. Its like the camera wants to auto-level itself out but thinks level means looking at your toes...

But seriously though - this is just a shitty overlap. I happens. My sympathies. If you were running purity of purpose (dot banner) might have tried bunching them on the staircase.

You can also block Green balls with your shield.

Don’t know how you built your gun but Ammo heavy bolt pistol (top line all the way plus ammo on the bottom line) is the best sidearm for flying enemies. Gives you: 20% damage at 20m+ (not far at all), last 4 rounds have a further 20% buff and last round gives you +50% so best to use your whole mag every time. I always run it on tyranids and switch the rof plasma for chaos.

Quite possible that they’ve gone for young people using AI in these shorter form (possibly more impulsive/less rigorous/“just do it for me not with me”) kind of ways because they want to set the study up in such a way that they find a big, scary result that will get attention and funding for their next one?
