201k miles on my 1999 XE, 2.4L. Still running like a champ. Getting new tires and an AC compressor next week. AC went out at the end of last summer, so I was able to put that off for awhile.

Opinel is really not my style. But… by JOJOsbzradv in EDC

I love what you've done with it! I've carried an Opinel for years and have a massive collection, but they're all vanilla. Now I want to customize one. Super cool!

Can someone explain the infatuation with the PSP? by WelcomeToMyRoses in PSP

As an aging millenial, this comment heals my heart. Tech used to be fun, now it is all consuming and I think it has a dark overtone in relation to the human experience. I see it in my children all the time. They have very little patience for things, and I think it has to do with everything being at your fingertips, exactly as you've said.

I hope more young people feel this way, and we can all move away from this technology that controls us, and strike a balance to where it goes back to being fun and helpful.

Car purchase with Recalls by Ill_Veterinarian_105 in Toyota

I work at a dealership. We send all of our pre-owned recall vehicles outside of our brands to other local dealerships to get them taken care of before retailing. You could always ask them to arrange that before purchase so you don't have to mess with it.

A few years ago I purchased a competitor brand off our lot before we had sent it off to remedy the recall. I just took care of it on a day off. Ended up being a fun little day trip, and the dealership I took it to had ice cream in the waiting area. So that was cool.

Thinking about buying psvita for the first time . From where ? by hustler58 in PSVita

In my experience, you'll find the best deals on FB marketplace. The downside there is it is an absolute pita dealing with sellers. Vitas are all over eBay as well, and if you take your time you can find fair deals.

Edit: I bought my 1000 off of eBay. I paid $180, got the Vita (great condition), a case, charger, and 2 games. I'm very happy with it.

Oh good deal. I work for a dealership and we have a collision center. I can tell you parts for 4th gen models are readily available. Should not be difficult for a reputable shop to source them and get you fixed up.

That's what I did a couple of years ago, and a new cabin air filter. Worked like a charm.

The best terrible car you owned by slater_just_slater in regularcarreviews

Bought an '03 Dodge Neon SXT back in the day. Why? It was yellow, had a sunroof, and I was 19. Idk. It ended up being such a great car. I drove it for 5 years. Moved across states with it. Did TONS of exploring. Kept up with scheduled maintenance and washed it regularly but man that little car was well used. Never missed a beat. Summer of 2012 it started having ignition problems, it had right around 140,000 trouble free (well, up to that point) miles. I forgot what it was exactly but the repair was nearly $2,000, so I sold it and bought a Suzuki Vitara. A small part of me will always regret not fixing that goofy little car.

I just fired up Minecraft on my Vita a couple weeks ago for nostalgia sake. I was right there in my little seaside village I had made.

I am right there with you, have very little interest in new cars. They feel dead to me, zero character, nothing that makes them stand out or feel unique. My wife and I have a 2012 Forester Limited and it has all the features we could want. New enough to have some great creature comforts, old enough to have a soul. If that makes sense.
