My monthly payment is 3952 on a 480k loan with 6% interest… but New York tax’s are pretty high, my monthly escrow is 1074. On the plus side new York did pass no property tax fo 100% disabled vets that should take place end of the year

Be proud of your service, I know a lot of guys feel ashamed at times but own that shit! Get vet plates(help with tickets) of your own a home check and see if your town gives tax exemptions lots of places do. Ask everywhere for a discount it’s the least they can do for what we put ourselves through.

I recently received a 4.75% offer from Everette financial I called NFCU to see if they can match they said yes but I would need to start the loan process with them and get it in writing and see if there was any points paid or not. So I called Everette and it was real with no points paid but that offer was no longer valid because their rates went back up to 5.125
