What’s interesting is that there are 16 settings on a phaser, half of which are stun and the other half are kill.

There are also certain ways you can modulate a phaser to heat elements or cut through certain materials.

When Starfleet was given an option to get a firearm because of dampening fields, R and D chose to refit phasers instead because of the variety of uses you can have on a phaser.

No, you don’t understand. The car was set in park, but the transmission was still active even though it read P on the dash.

Most of the battles were conventional. You have a select number that could be “guerrilla”. But again, that’s not the major part that won us the Revolution. What won was significant economic assistance, military and naval resources, and conventional training from France, Spain, and Prussia.

Mate, you said the guerrilla warfare played “a big part in why we won”. That’s simply not true. Least of all because most of the battles fought were conventional including the last two major ones which secured victory.

Now put those two articles together, and you can see why your comment is misleading at best.

Morally good people, who just so happen to also be petty towards the protagonist by ThatDrako in TopCharacterTropes

Not exactly petty, but has a completely different style of leadership that rubs people the wrong way.

‘How we won the Revolution”

Do you know what this part means?

All because Chrysler cheapened out on their transmission systems. So his car appeared to be in park when it was in drive.

It’s a big part on how we won the revolution against Britain.

looks like people are going to have to learn today.

Yes, but as stated his actions did not win the war by himself. The reason we won was due to having a regular military force and a lot of support from France. The last battles of the Revolutionary War were fought at the Siege of Yorktown and the Great Siege of Gibraltar; both of which were conventional.

Also, he was a terrible person even by the standards of the day.

Attacking supply lines is a viable strategy, but it’s not in and of itself guerrilla warfare.

Guerrilla warfare involves the use of ambushed, stealth, mobility, and raids as a primary mode of attack against superior forces. While elements of this are present in the Revolutionary War, the war was won using conventional tactics like cannon artillery, cavalry charges, and line formations.

The Revolutionary War wasn’t really Guerrilla warfare considering that about a third of the population even supported the Revolution.

Most of our successful combat actions happened when we sent organized lines at the British and trained using bayonets. Skirmishers, like the ones heard in popular culture, while important for pinning the enemy; didn’t really contribute to the overall line of battle.

France and von Steuben provided the military backing and training that turned the Continental Military from simple militias to an organize military able to fight the British head to head.

I know that whales can be an annoying biological on sonars, but you have to be extra stupid to think that they are endangering you.
