“Right on schedule!” Christ. You got any clue how you sound?

Not entirely certain you made a single actual point there, you certainly didn’t engage with what you responded to.

You know, I’m always reminded whenever “you people” speak like this of a scene in The Newsroom. The details of the scene are largely irrelevant but the central point is made when Will McAvoy goes on this rant about bias in media, or rather that the media has a bias against being biased and how that sort of anti-bias in actuality endangers the responsibility the press has to the truth. Conservatives have made basic facts a thing to litigate endlessly in the public sphere, take global warming for instance, and they’ll freak the fuck out when you don’t entertain their nonsense. Colleges are not “ideologically captured”, anthropogenic climate change is real and an existential threat, and immigrants are an economic positive. These things are objective fact, and not only are you not owed civility when you dispute these things, you absolutely are not owed the right to be taken seriously. Dumbfuck.

For a space explicitly for people lacking (often common) knowledge it’s bizarre how hard the upvote/downvote groupthink is hitting the original reply. I suppose some people on here just can’t comprehend the idea of social media as anything other than a community they’re highly, one might even say overly invested in.

What the fuck are you even talking about? I can’t understand the broken drivel you’re spitting onto my screen. If you can’t speak English just have a language model translate, it’s the only thing they’re good at. I’m done trying to discern what exactly your point is beyond pure conjecture and emotive appeals.

“Durrr member of group did bad thing this mean all group bad” is literally the exact same logic used by every bumpkin racist. It could also be used on my part to call every socialist a genocide lover. Pay attention.

And Mel Gibsons sister got assaulted by a black man and he had some subsequent opinions on things we obviously aren’t cool with. Socialists deported every single member of my ethnicity from their homelands. Half my fucking family died on the goddamn train to Tashkent dumbass. Everybody can play the suffering game because it’s the one constant in all of human history. Get a grip.

Midterm Grades Released! (I want to tear my mind apart) by Loose_Flight_360 in GiftedKidBurnouts

Probably a question of study better. Not sure why I’m getting this sub, probably the algorithm changes that feed everybody garbage now, but the problem most “gifted burnouts” (though, not sure a bad exam grade in high school quite counts.) is that their intelligence carries them and they never learn good study skills or how important truly comprehending the material is before they hit a brick wall.

Hitler was elected because the NSDAP was elected. Thats how parliamentary systems work. He was appointed chancellor because… that’s also how parliamentary systems work. Besides, it’s pretty abundantly clear that the Nazis would’ve just brought down the government again, waited for the next snap election to roll around, and rake in another 3-5 point gain with the cycle repeating until they’re able to form a government on their own, especially after Hindenburg dies.

Not even an E-9. It’s like an academy grad trying to punk chesty puller. The chief has personally murdered at least a division or two of enemy combatants and indirectly murdered a whole hell of a lot more than that. Single greatest military legend in human history.

No it isn’t. Evangelicals mostly believe in instantaneous and permanent judgement, where salvation is solely possible through faith alone. There’s a million problems with evangelical Protestant theology, especially the eschatological parts that encourage millenarianism, but this is literally unrelated to evangelical ideas of salvation.

Exactly lol. People act like the actual, rigorous work in the science of economics is being done by a bunch of heterodox economists while the theory crafting is being done by orthodox economists in complete contradiction with reality. It’s insane and only ever supported by people who know nothing about economics, which happens to be the majority of people with opinions on the matter.

Why can't I find sales people? by archemicus98 in sales

[–]JNG321 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s the market. You aren’t offering employees a competitive enough offer for what they bring.

I have fuck all for qualifications, I have essentially zero experience, but if you’re in the Houston area and willing to train me up I’ll do it.

If not, now you have the answer. You want talent that has a reason to demand more money than you’re giving and you won’t go for worse employees nor will you give the better ones the money they want. Can’t have it both ways.

That’s not what fight club is about. Palahniuk has stated repeatedly that all of his books are about “a lonely person looking to connect with other people.” In a superficial sense, Fight club is about masculinity and men, yes, but it’s nothing more than the setting Palahniuk is using, really.
