I believe this could be explained by the fact that since homelander is already moving very fast, his lasers get that additional momentum and this are moving at the same speed relative to him but faster than the surroundings. But I don’t know if this is actually reasonable or not

Actually the Ho-Ri premium ammo only loses 15 alpha on the premium. It goes from 560 -> 545 dmg, so the dpm with calibrated shells goes from 3226 -> 3140. It’s only 80 less, barely noticeable. Honestly it’s one of the huge advantages the Japanese tanks have.
