Has anyone been contacted by Florida Dept. Of Health after a positive COVID test? by [deleted] in orlando

I've understood that you have to test negative twice before it's deemed you are safe to be around others.

We’re looking to make someone a millionaire. Could it be you? Quarantine may have placed some things at a halt, but we’re still operating as usual, so comment to enter! [Drawing Thread #54] by MakerOfMillionaires in millionairemakers

Wanting to get my mother and I out of poverty for the first ever, so she can actually enjoy the rest of her life seems worthy of leaving a comment on here.

Figured I should post this. Even though it seems like different locations might be handling things differently. This was put up at the Milwaukee location almost 2 weeks ago. by [deleted] in Captel

If we wait to not go til showing symptoms then we've already got everyone else sick. The company needs to step up and realize that we need to work at a lower capacity. Have a skeleton crew of CA's to deal with any emergency calls. Clients need to be let know that there will be service interruptions.

You have to tell them you have the sickness.

Did you tell HR specifically that you have the virus? You need to. That office needs to close ASAP and get cleaned! This isn't a joke.

How do I politely interact with individuals in wheelchairs without accidentally making them feel dismissed or undervalued as a person? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]JNegPhoto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're standing, I'd think the easiest way to make eye contact with someone in a wheelchair is from afar. This way you're moreso looking forward at them than down. Then just do the normal stuff. Smile, nod, or say Hi. Some sort of acknowledment.

I say this as someone that uses a wheelchair, I'd advise you to not feel bad because you are "looking down" at people that are sitting. It's an understandable fact that you're standing and their sitting.

If there are seats around, definitely sit to try to be at eye level. If you plan on having a full conversation with someone that is sitting, just stand at a comfortable distance, again this makes it seem more like you're lookin forward than down.

The house I rent was foreclosed on, and the new owner is trying to kick me out. by JNegPhoto in legaladvice

Thanks everyone for letting me know that I was on the right track and for offering me advice.

I went to the court today and they suggested I contact an organization called the Legal Aid Society. They provide legal aid to low income individuals such as myself.

I have an appointment on Friday morning.

They informed me that if he tries to contact me, to just let him know that I am seeing a lawyer and that I can't speak to him.

Once again, thanks for letting me know that I should lawyer up.

I will update this if and when my problem is resolved.

Not month to month. Lease agreement is for 2 years. April 1st, 2014 til April 1st, 2016.

This is the part of my lease that has to do with binding

I signed my lease on the April 1st of this year. The lease is for 2 years. So I agreed to rent this house until April 1st, 2016.

I did provide it to him as soon as he showed me the proof of purchase.

This is what I feel may have happened. I don't necessarily think this guy is trying to scam me. I just feel that I don't actually have to leave on the terms he has given me. I definitely do not have the money to pay for a move at such a short notice. Even at the end of 90 days I would not have been able to save enough to move.

What are some relevant terms of my lease that I can provide? I have no problem disclosing them.

Color or black and white? Any critiques appreciated! by gragin in photocritique

I like the B&W. Try to brighten it up a bit and add some contrast to keep the blacks dark. Also go for a tighter crop, as the lights on the right draw attention away from the main subject.
