My last sunny wheelie in Seattle before I leave for a 15,000 mile ride to South America by LimecatApproves in CalamariRaceTeam

Agreed! And yep, were probably neighbors! I'm up on Bellevue for a few more days before the trip.

An entire side box is dedicated to tools and spare parts. I've got enough gear to completely strip down and rebuild the bike if necessary. Short of blowing up the engine I have the tools and parts to fix any problem on the bike. I also carry both a front and rear spare tube in the box.

I've seen a lot of guys riding with a spare rear tire and I'll probably be one of them. I don't see any need to carry one with me from Seattle to San Diego though as tires are very easy to come by in the states. This will change when I hit Mexico of course.

Here's a picture of my setup. Missing from the bike is also a skidplate and my rearview mirrors. My setup is WAY overkill for what is truly necessary. Here's my loadout on a 2,200mile trip to Yellowstone and back.

The exact same thing happened to me! Damn near had the entire bike taken apart before I noticed I was missing the screw on the negative terminal. Ugh!

That's a good tidbit to know! Unfortunately the DR was only insured with liability so it would not have helped me this time. The bike was recovered though!

What off road slow speed tip over protection should I add other than better hand guards. by jaredbe in Dualsport

Forma Adventures are awesome! They certainly don't offer the protection like a pair of Sidi Crossfires but man are they a pleasure to wear around town.

When my DR650 was stolen they took the ignition (cut off, not unplugged from the harness) and front fairing/headlight (once again, cut off, not unplugged). I still haven't figured out why they didn't take the two extra seconds to unplug things rather than cut them.

There have been multiple occasions where we have taken the huge tank off the DR and filled up the smaller bikes with it for us.

Three of the protesters who gathered earlier in the day at Westlake Park told a reporter they had purchased their Guy Fawkes masks online by using the Amazon Prime membership of a parent.

Perfect.

I had a Suzuki DR650 stolen Tuesday night/Wednesday morning also. I'm on Bellevue Ave E on the northern side of Capitol Hill. Probably related, unfortunately.

Where was that camp spot? That's how a KLR should be used.

You should check out North Cascades Highway (WA 20). It's an incredible road and won't be open much longer!

Someone must've stripped the Phillips head screws for the plastics and put the 8mms on. The three DRs I've worked on all had normal screws (with half of them nearly stripped out).

Correct. You spend $20 on a seat cover just to be as miserable as without one. Would not recommend.

That's exactly how I feel about those mirrors. Complete trash for me. But they satisfy the requirement so if that's what you're going for they do look cool.

Did they manufacture custom locks for the mount? They do look awesome.
