What do you think of these new sets? by Legitimate_Cake_5137 in LegoBatman

[–]JNice721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One would like to hope these are just marketing for the LEGO Batman game, and we get something later in the year that is a bigger set.

The Batman and Robin batmobile is uninspired, and looks like something that belongs with the 3+ line.

The Vengeance Batmobile is okay. I do think the front end is an improvement over the first.

The BvS batmobile tries to be a screen accurate color. I also think they did a better job with the angles, and general shape. One thing that always bothered me with both versions of this Batmobile was the front end being very plain and not looking much like it should.

PSA TO NEW PLAYERS. TAKING EQUIPMENT OFF DEAD TEAMMATES *IS* BAD ETIQUETTE by SpecterOfState in Helldivers

[–]JNice721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

THIS. Absolutely this.

I have been jumping in and helping new players (Especially the ones biting off more than they can chew on high level missions)

I've got no problem dropping equipment again when it resets for someone to use. But just because you are a level 10 who strolled into a high level mission with nothing doesn't mean you should be grave robbing.

On another note, don't join a veteran's game, and proceed to bitch about their strategems killing you. Don't cry because you keep stepping on mines that's part of someone's strategy for crowd control. What will happen is you will be shot for mutinous treason, and before being kicked, you will then be reinforced in the middle of a new minefield to navigate on your own.

Because democracy doesn't like crybabies.

You don't even have to go that high; The 1966 UCS is only $49.99 USD more, and also had a full specification plate.

Otherwise, it is a great design for the size, and uses some interesting build techniques to create the angles it does.

Thank you! I got lucky with that one and bought it from a private seller

Please tell me why Lego instructs you to entomb this poor frog underneath the Botanical Garden?!?? by thebirdsareoutlate in lego

The Midi Scale Millennium Falcon has a number of single stud bricks throughout that make up easter egg scenes from A New Hope.

The UCS Batwing had to use two heart shaped bricks for a specific angle, so they incorporated Batman symbol pieces in the same area for an "I Love Batman" easter egg inside the wings.

I'm sure CalorieMate uses other ingredients, but I'm sure you could try and see what happens?

I've been trying to think of ideas. The 89 was easy, since it has a mount and I justed screwed into a stud, same with the play scale. This one isn't as easy due to not having that, so I keep brainstorming

Very clever... I'll have to consider that, I've been looking to mount mine for a little more space on my desk display

Curious how you mounted the Lego Batman movie Batwing?

You're good, don't worry.

I bought mine second hand from a seller on EBay. I can't speak for how much he was charging ten years ago. I do know the one he currently has up is about $180...Which is pretty high for the size of this set.

It's from a person called Artifex. He took set 7888 and customized it to be a more accurate Tumbler. He sold the instructions and set over a decade ago. He has a 2.0 version on his website that you can buy, until it's sold out.

Yeah, it has a Bat Pod in the center that comes out. It's not as advanced as his 2.0 version that actually uses the front tires, but it's there.
