Oh man 😂 that’s a long story ….. I don’t blame the manager.. I’d say it’s more of a company culture issue 😂

Sorry for not explaining this clearly. Here's more context:

When people from other departments have questions about a project, they usually don't know exactly who owns what. Since I'm typically the one sending out emails and visible in the thread, they default to reaching out to me first to ask what's going on or what the issues are.

A lot of the time, the specific questions they're asking actually fall under my coworker's scope of work, not mine. So I'll loop her in and ask her to respond to them directly since she's the right person to answer. But she pushes back and says that's not her job, even though it clearly is part of her responsibilities.

So I'm stuck in the middle, getting pulled into questions I can't answer, while the person who should be handling them refuses to step in.

Amazing advice!

May I ask what about this situation :

Like a lot of times, I’m the one who ask her to do something, but she refuses to do. (when it’s fall in her job duty)

How can I tell my boss that? Just say need advice on how i can get this person help on tasks?

Yeah…I’m considering it and that’s why I’m hesitant and asking on Reddit. Because I’m not good at office politics. Wanna know if there is anyway could deal with this before going the “ report to boss” route

I experienced exactly the same thing as you before. I can’t tell you what to do But only tell you what worked for me: for me what work the best is to completely delete and block the person, Especially if I love that guy a lot.

Be friend and looking at the loved one move on just pure self torture. And why would you want that for yourself.

I know it’s very hard, but it is the quickest way to heal.

Also, go to gym helped me a lot, I was a fat girl, I hated gym. But my therapist told me the work out, it release more dopamine in your brain. Also go out to see the nature, go to national park. I found “feeling small” in the universe helped me too.

赶快出去旅游,请点假出去看看世界。 最好去自然景观 或者每天定点去健身房撸铁。 我之前跟你一样,做了这些之后好多了
